Not particularly close either. Every minute he’s the court it’s a massive negative. Sign a two way center or a guy off of the street. There’s absolutely no way he can be worse than Wiseman. He legit doesn’t do anything well. He can’t shoot, can’t defend the perimeter, cant defend the pick and roll, can’t defend the paint, cant set a screen without fouling, can’t pass, can’t score in the paint, and he can’t rebound. He’s legitimately bad at everything it’s shocking. We don’t have to continue to play him because we traded Saddiq for him. Cut him, take the L, and sign someone else.

He still too young and raw. Is he not good, yes, cuz he hasn’t had enough playing time in his life. Is he as bad as people keep saying he is, no. When players like his coach monty williams lasted as long as they did in this league, he can find a niche at some point. Or not.

All our players look worse than they are because we have a team of roles players. Wiseman could be a backup center with 8-10 minutes a night on a playoff caliber team. The problem is we need all our players to play past their ability and it makes them all look worse than they are.

I need to see more. Getting a few minutes with backups on a horrendous 2-14 team is not enough. I need to see him play when the veterans are back and he’s in a fixed rotation with decent players around him. He just looks lost because he hasn’t played a lot of basketball outside of high school and learning on the fly in the NBA is not a route to success. He should get time in the G League (I don’t know if he’s still eligible or if he’d become an immediate free agent if sent there).

He needs to not be on an nba roster to actually play basketball. Should’ve sent him to the cruise

Best hope is that he can improve and be a serviceable backup at some point.

Wiseman is excellent at cashing cheques.

My favorite Wiseman moment: Summer League, he grabbed a rebound, went coast-to-coast with a head full of steam, went airborne for the tomahawk and was met by….Jay Huff

Ball was swatted out of bounds and Wiseman was laying on his back

    Stuffed by Huff

Nah but for real. Dude lost us the game IMO yesterday. His shit execution on pretty much everything got the turnover ball rolling in the 3rd quarter and stopped any chance of a Detroit run. Trash like Basketball IQ is 10 in 2K bad.
