Say we crush the rest of the season. Drop low in the draft, and can’t trade up and draft a new QB? Are there any half decent FAs coming up in the off season or do we stick with AOC/Jimmy G?

If we crush the rest of the season, why the fuck would we not give AOC more time???

If we do well the rest of the season that must mean AOC was a serviceable QB and we wouldn’t need to draft QB in the 1st.

unfortunately we are married to our qb room. They can probably say fuck it and eat jimmy and hoyers contract, thats not off the table yet and i think they will with Hoyer. Possible draft a middle of the 1st or 2nd qb to compete with Jimmy and AOC. I expect this next year to be a soft reset as they manage the massive deadcap we have. As for available guys there are a few possibilities that are interesting. Some of the THEORETICAL highlights could be Dobbs, Minshew, Fields, Perk Cousins, Ryan Tannehill, Baker, Kyler. The only ones you could probably build around with be Fields and Kyler, the rest would just be stop gaps.

I mean for us to crush to rest of the season would mean AOC turns into an average to good starter…

We’re most likely not making a deep playoff run, so there will be talented QBs available in the middle of the 1st round.

Nothing goes our way? If we crush it that means things went our way. It’s much too early to see how the draft will fall as prospects will go up and down as we lease up for the draft. There are a handful of QBs that as of now are late 1 early 2 “worthy”. Daniels, Nix, Penix, etc may all be available mid to late round 1, early round 2. It’s much too early to fret about this though so just have fun with rest of season and looking at different prospects.

We draft another one. And we all email JMcD a picture of a donkey dick for X-mas annually.

So many variables between now and then. But I’m assuming AOC will be there and will either have a vet or rookie QB to compete with.

Jimmy and Hoyer are done here IMO

Go after cousins in the offseason as long as he can pass a physical.

The game is changing. If we want to be competitive in the future, we need a mobile qb. The days of 6’4” pocket passers are numbered.

I think this is the draft we get a guy rd 2-3 who will either push or overtake AOC. There are like 3 elite QBs and then it depends who you ask how to rank like the next 17. I think Quin Ewers or Jayden Daniels can be had rd two and Spencer Rattler probably rd 3.

Meantime, lockdown Jer’zhan or Rome Odunze rd.1, (both if we trade Tae to the Jets) get a RT or CB rd. 2.

I like how “crush the rest of the season” is counted as “nothing goes our way.”

Tbh, the direction won’t be known until after the season. We need to know who our GM/HC will be. I do hope it’s Champ/AP. Then we need to know the OC and his preference. New OC will have more influence since AP is defensive coach.

Best case scenario - AOC balls out and we focus on upgrading OL and DL with high picks.
