I mean don’t get me wrong I do LOVE Montez sweat but if we have to get rid of him, or the only god damn person on this team that can sack, I think it’s obvious. Your thoughts?

I don’t find Chase’s presence on the field that impactful. He walks and gives up on plays when the ball is away from him. I’m fine not signing either one of them TBH.

If we trade Young then I know this team isn’t serious about winning. If that’s the case we better be doing a fire sale.

No serious person thinks we can do better than a first round playoff exit, and we can’t afford to sign both Young and Sweat next season. So yes, it should be a fire sale.

How can you guys say this when our defense was objectively better last year (without Chase Young). I dunno what exactly it is, but somehow the combination of CHase Young with the rest of our D-line seems to be less than the sum of the parts.

I have no real explanation, its just the facts. Maybe they just dont have great chemistry together. I dunno what it is, but the bottom line is that we are a massively underacheiving defense, Chase Young and all, so nobody is irreplaceable.

I think I don’t actually have any deep understanding of football and we have no idea what Josh Harris has planned. He might sell the farm and stack up draft picks or he might get someone to come in an evaluate what the team has and decide to keep everyone and add a few pieces in the off season.

It depends on the price imo, the Panthers are currently getting made fun of for holding onto Bryan Burns instead of trading him, and he’s been more productive then chase

Yeah I’d much rather keep Chase than have an extra second rounder.

I’d take a second for sweat though

Don’t care. He’s close to not being worth the tag, so there’s not a lot of roster value there for us or anyone else.

I’d rather Ron not make the decision, though, which is the only reason I lean in the direction of not trading.

As far as the rest goes, rebuilds happen fast. I don’t think you have to automatically get rid of everyone over 28 or whatever.

As long as this defense remains underachieving, I dont think anybody is untouchable.

Chase has played well, but honestly, with him back, the dline is not really better than last year when it was without him. Actually they were statistically better last year without him, technically, so, whatever.

I wouldve traded one of either Sweat or Young, gotten a draft pick for it. Honestly the most important person on that line is Payne, and he’s already signed long term. The rest are expendable.

If Harris lets Ron make the call on this. It will be his 1st blunder as owner.

Whoever we trade…The return better be a late first rounder because both players are worth it.

If we can get a couple of decent offensive linemen or an all pro WR. Need another secondary player. I like Ben Juiste who gets better every game. The guy we drafted, need a third. Good there. Blocking TE who can was can catch worth gold.
