It’s obvious Veach’s approach to WR was an absolute catastrophe and miserable failure that will most likely be the reason the season ends in the playoffs. The WR room is the laughing stock of the league. I am sure Mahomes is seething behind the scenes…As Tyreek puts up 2,000 yards receiving.
The entire WR room is going to have to be gutted and rebuilt from top to bottom this offseason. Same way they rebuilt the O line after the Bucs debacle. I don’t want to hear about salary cap excuses or improving WR in the draft. They need a proven #1 WR and a #2 WR
Throw in the fact Kelce is on the decline and will only get worse (with retirement looming)
Veach is going to face criticism like he’s never faced before after this season. From the fanbase and media (and maybe even from Pat)
The entire future of this franchise will be riding on how or IF Veach will fix WR

In the 70s and 80s, KC went 14 seasons without making the playoffs.
In the 90s, 2000s and 2010s, KC went 21 years without winning a playoff game.
In the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s, KC went 25 years without winning a home playoff game.
In the last 5 years they’ve gone to 3 super bowls, and won 2 of them. And fans want a new GM next year.

Veach deserves a ton of credit for our defensive roster. We’re in a transitional period now, you can’t have every season be dominant. Patriots went through this for MANY years with Brady.

Yeah let’s fire the GM who has led us to 3 super bowls and 5 straight AFCCG’s because he had the audacity to overvalue Mahomes and Reid’s ability to make something out of nothing.
Andy had 3 receivers that went over 1k yards on Philly. TO, Kevin Curtis, and Desean Jackson. With KC he’s had Jeremy Malcom, and Reek was leading receiver 4 years (but he’s a unicorn). Unless he has a stud receiver like Reek or TO, his offense runs through the backs and TEs mostly.
What we need is a Lesean McCoy, or Brian Westbrook. Jet played that role well last year. Pacheco must not be a good pass catcher.
