I’d actually prefer him coming off the bench so we have consistent scoring when Maxey and Joel sit. He’s a perfect sixth man, maybe use him to close games as well

And I said his best role is a 6th man microwave scorer that can close the game instead of PJ if needed… and that is exactly what he’s been doing.

Eh I think he’s best suited as a sixth man. He chucks up a shot any chance he gets, I don’t think that’s what we want to ideally use the start of the game to get Maxey and Embiid established on offence

Don’t agree, he looks like the only player on the team who’s capable of fully capitalizing on advantages Embiid creates. He’ll straight line drive if his defender is out of his lane, he’s got a quick trigger 3 ball, and he knows how to slash and relocate to get easy buckets. This team has been standing and watching while Embiid has been doubled for years, this is literally the only guy I’ve ever seen in Embiid’s tenure who’s constantly making the right play off-ball.

Like everyone said, Oubre 6th man has been a positive relevation. But it’s also true that PJ cannot start. It bogs down the offense of a unit, that isn’t particularly strong to begin with.

NN does see it(Example: The Danuel House minutes), but honestly he needs to be ballsy and start Springer in PJ’s place.

If it’s defense you want, Springer is a far better defensive player than Tucker it’s not even close. And offensively, even Springer brings more to the table.

PJ is not looking great; frustrated, fouling, almost getting upset when a teammate doesn’t let him get his rebound.
