You’re right that he’s game changing for us because he allows us to simultaneously be a legit contender this year, and also go into FA with cap space. We could go in and outbid everyone for OG if we had only Markannen, Maxey and Embiid on the books.

Getting LeBron is pretty unrealistic though, and it’s probably overkill. If we could get LeBron in FA we wouldn’t need to trade for Markannen. Don’t need 4 all stars on a team.

For people saying we can’t afford Markannen, we can afford him on draft night when we effectively have 5 available 1sts if I’m not mistaken. Whether he’s worth that is another question.

Oubre falling to us is blind luck due to miscommunication with his agent, who Oubre just fired. Him signing for the minimum is not an indication we valued him.

Morey’s paid more for worse guys, PJ was paid more than Bruce Brown and Kyle Anderson. House took 5m to not play, our big trade deadline get in 2021 was three seconds for George Hill, we gave Thybulle and an early second for McDaniels who sucked.

Like Morey’s decent, we don’t have to circlejerk everything like he’s Jesus. He’s been pretty ass on the margins but overall solid on the bigger trades.

He shot below 50% TS this game. This is basically his average game. The Milwaukee game was unsustainable, this game was in line with what to expect. You think he’s going to average 15 points on 20% shooting or something?

That Oubre game is a lot more likely to come if he’s leading bench units as opposed to playing off-ball with Embiid.

His flaws exist, that has nothing to do with the fact that he has the off-ball skillset that Embiid needs

Don’t agree, he looks like the only player on the team who’s capable of fully capitalizing on advantages Embiid creates. He’ll straight line drive if his defender is out of his lane, he’s got a quick trigger 3 ball, and he knows how to slash and relocate to get easy buckets. This team has been standing and watching while Embiid has been doubled for years, this is literally the only guy I’ve ever seen in Embiid’s tenure who’s constantly making the right play off-ball.

Raptors traded a first for Poetl and another first for a Thad Young rental. This from the most mediocre team in the league.

Gobert. Pelinka is liable to make dumb trades. Knicks GM doesn’t seem great other than that Brunson tampering deal. Griffin makes some dumb trades. Hawks have the owner’s 20 something son forcing trades. Stone doesn’t have much to show since Morey left, but he deserves another couple years.

But that doesn’t mean they can be fleeced, it’s all circumstances. And a guy like Harden with red flags plastered over him is not going to have people emptying wallets. Mann, a first and a swap is a good line to set. I’ll be surprised if they don’t bite, they’re trying to play leverage but once the deadline passes they’re not going to ever get a PG as good as Harden.

I’m not the biggest Morey fan but the guy knows how to handle trades/cap.

He knows picks, expirings and bargain contracts are useful right now, and non-needle moving guys like Norm on long-term money are not.

The Clippers have been trying to trade Norm to get under the second apron. They’re trying to do that and fleece Harden at the same time. There are things the FO knows that fans don’t.

No matter how many times this team fucks up, everyone still ends up here hyped up. Even though this is probably the murkiest things have looked during the entire process.

Anyone claiming they’re ever done with this team is either lying or not a real fan.

NGL, this is a miss but the Hornets one looks good and the Knicks isn’t bad.

Seems to be a style you’re going for here that just makes it look kind of amateurish. The illadelph being uncentered and non-capitalized, the question mark on the logo. It looks kind of like it was hobbled together using default text, shapes, and symbols in some editor.

I don’t think jerseys are the place to get too experimental. Our best jersey was probably the spectrum one which was pretty simple.
