So I guess everyone who plays Aram knows that some champs are buffed and debuffed as to “balance them” and maybe it was frustrating for some of you to pick your favorite champion just to realize you got 80%dmg dealt -20 haste and 120% dmg taken.
Why isn’t this information disclosed in the lobby?
I really think honesty is the key here I love playing aram but after getting to fight stuff like [redit example] Ashe vs qiyana (Ashe deals 90% damage, qiyana takes 90%… This works out to Ashe dealing no damage to Qiyana a champion that stay invisible for 80% of her fight ).
I just can’t take it… I’m just scared that I’m going to get a champion with 80% dmg and do nothing to some champs with less dmg taken.
You can say that if they do so… people won’t pick champs with 80% less dmg but well… that’s their bad design and making it transparent would prove how bad it is even more.
I’m… an old player I played ARAM before it was even a game mode. This mode was always about fun and testing builds and weird things … NOT THIS.
For now i will probably use the website to never go under 100% dmg.
I’m pretty sure I can use some of the buffs to make weird builds like ADC bard since for some reason the guy has 115%dmg Imagine a fight bard vs Ziggs There is no way to win, one flash and ziggs gets one shotted by lethality first-strike build
In the last 5 or 6 years I have played with my bride ARAM almost exclusively. Thousands of ARAMs, more than we are proud of.
I think balancing is necessary. There are certain champs, mostly ranged spambots (Ashe, Ziggs, Lux, and the list goes on), that are S tier picks even with -15% dmg and other nerfs. Sometimes even in the current system the game is decided in the champ select, I definitely do not want to face non-balanced Ziggs sitting under his turret and zoning me to our inner turret.
On the other hand, I would really like to see the balance numbers in the champ select. Sometimes the nerf are overkill and the champ is hot garbage. Or I just don’t want to pick certain champs at +20% dmg take. Let me decide while knowing the full picture, instead of getting surprised in game, that I’m shooting wet noodles and a mild fart can delete my healthbar.
