I’m just curious. I always cringe when I think about the insane amounts of money I have spend on league at this point. Don’t know the exact number but it’s probably around 300 euros. Now, I haven’t bought anything in like a year and I don’t plan on buying new skins, but I just think about how much actually useful stuff I could have gotten with that much money. It’s one thing to maybe spend 10 or 20 bucks on one or two skins for your main champion. But most champs that I have bought skins for I don’t even play anymore.

I just crossed 1k dollars, and I have been playing since 2016. I feel pretty ashamed, but at least I still play this game passionately

I mean… I’ve spent probably $500 ish over my accounts life time. None of it feels “wasted.”
The vast majority of my skins I’ve gotten for free from boxes, and I’ve been playing for over a decade.
That’s like… > $50 a year to support a game I really enjoy.
I’d be mad at myself if that number was more than double, but as it is, I’m happy.
I’d say a confident 35$, which honestly isn’t that much but I’m so down to spend more, especially since I need a few skins so I’m probably expecting that to go to 200 once it’s up for Linux again.

about 500 bucks since season 4. Spent 400 of it in like grade 9-10.
I actually only spent about 30 usd. The skins werent that amazing back in the 2015 days, and when the crafting system came out I just didn’t find the need to spend any cash
5 USD. Bought pre-rework Tyrant swain and King Tryndamere on discount. Also using the 400 RP riot used to gift upon completing the tutorials and reaching lvl 4s
Started playing in early 2016, last time I checked was last year and I believe it was around 3k? But over the course of 8 years I’d consider that not to bad

Comparing the amount of cash I’ve spent on cosmetics for a frustrating game that refuses to give my main a legendary / prestige skin and keeps killing off decent champions so OP ones have more limelight… To a single player campaign where the only thing I’m buying is new ways to play.
I think I’ve spent near 5k - 8k on LoL. I’ve spent 50 total in Genshin.^(Now that I’m looking at it like that, I should consider dropping LoL for good…)
Im playing the game for 10+ years at this point and I’ve definitely spent a lot of money on it, but I like playing League therefore I don’t think its wasted money if it makes the game actively a better experience for me. So my answer would be: 0$ wasted, at least a few hundred to 1000$ spent over way more than 5000 hours of playtime.
The way i see it, if you REALLY miss those 300 THAT much, its not the money you spend thats the problem.
I mean i dont make a lot of money, but 300 is honestly nothing to beat yourself up about if spent over a decent time.
around 7k started playing in the pandemic, dont play as much as i used to wouldnt spend it again if i was starting from 0 but i dont regret it either
Friends gave me money but i never spend a penny in it
