Who is scared to death Belichick will trade down? I think he is stubborn enough to do it…and while that can work sometimes, we need a franchise QB/WR…I have been a Bill we Trust guy(although it gets harder each week), but if he trades down, I will join the Bill Must Go gravy train.

This staff cannot draft on offense, this pick is too important for our current front office to be picking it.

We’re at the most basic, most undeveloped level of talent right now, our front office has not shown the vision or skill to identify the correct players on offense to make this team better, who ever they bring in as GM has to have a multi-year vision.

The good news is that we’re likely to have high enough draft picks and enough money to significant improve our foundation, but it is crucial to get the right GM and Coach so that this opportunity is not squandered.

Sorry…I’m trading that pick to load up on OLine and WRs. Sign a veteran QB and draft a rookie QB in the mid rounds to develop. Picking a QB 2nd would be a disaster without substantial improvements to the parts around the QB.

I don’t think he will. This is the strongest QB class in a loong time. 2-3 top tier guys. Then you have MHJ. Top 4 picks are going to get studs or "projected studs. I don’t think he can or will pass that up

There aren’t enough draft picks for the Pats to significantly improve next season. The neglect of any real roster-building for the last 5 years has left too many holes to fill in one off-season of drafts and FA. We can go all-in on a stud QB, but our O-line will still be the bottom of the barrel, same thing will happen if we go all-in on O-line… the other positions of need will suffer. Pat’s fans need to mentally and emotionally prepare for 2-3 more years of this garbage because of the systemic neglect of the roster. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to add talent, I just think we need to temper our expectations… and if Bill is still drafting next season, we need to abandon all expectations.

The trade down for a bounty of picks wouldn’t be scary if there was any reason to believe BB could still spot talent, but he can’t.

Another WR bust? BBs best evaluation gave us Harry & Thornton. Studs up front? Best he could find was a subdivision player that continues to demonstrate he cannot pass block at an NFL level. Special teamer? We’ll have to make do with undisciplined players and a kicker than can’t hit chip shots when the pressure is on.

Conflicted. Having Williams or Maye would be great but would they succeed in this offense?

I’d be scared to death if come April Belichick is in any position that has an influence on player selections.

It depends on what the final options look like.

If it’s trade back 5 spots and still get a franchise left tackle and 2 extra first round picks and some second or third’s. Sure. It’s likely worth it.

If it’s trade back. Pick up a third rounder and they select a corner back at 10. Yeah that’s some bullshit.
