For Me Dez Bryant in his Prime was an absolute terror on the field pairing him up with Ceedee Lamb would be a dangerous combination that no one could ever stop. Give Dez 88 and give CeeDee 82 it would look good on him. Dez, CeeDee, and Brandon Cooks in the slot.
P.S. if you want me to Delete just tell me and I will.
I’ll never not say Larry Allen.
It is always prime Larry. I mean 700 lb bench press, freak of nature.
💯 this is the correct answer
Aikman.
Tough choice, but I’d say Darren Woodson.
Right now, we have a decent secondary with Bland. Diggs may come back healthy. We already generate decent pressure on the QB and get substantial sacks. But what we’re missing is an elite safety.
Dat Nyguyn
OH YEAH AND NOW!
Trevon Diggs 😢
But actually, Emmitt. All time favorite player, and our run game has been weak.
Offense: Larry Allen/Erik Williams/Travis Frederick
Defense: Bob Lily/Randy White Lee Roy Jordan/Dat Nguyen
Basically someone in the trenches or a LB
Deion is the only answer
I get Dez lost a step by the time Dak was coming into his own, but him and Dak never meshed AT ALL.
Dez was the perfect WR for Romo who stretched the field very well. I’m not sure he would emulate the same success on today’s Cowboys.
Give me Larry Allen
Randy White
Deion Sanders
Jason Witten
Zeke as a rookie
Larry Allen
Sean Lee with no injuries
DeMarcus Ware
Emmitt Smith
Witten/Larry would help the offense more than anyone. Witten might be #1 because he was a great run blocker and would be such a weapon for Dak.
Sean Lee or some other tackling machine linebacker would help the run defense and make it harder for teams to exploit that one weakness.
Deion would be such a weapon in the return game and he’d shut down half the field.
Ed Too Tall Jones!
Bob Lilly on this D-Line would give opposing qbs nightmares
Also Emmitt smith would be the best bet on offense, toughest cowboys of all time and a true bell cow back, give him the ball 30 times a game and it’s an easy recipe for success
Terrell Owens
Fuck it diggs
Granted, we have had very gifted players in the last 20 years who are definitley deserving of recognition, but for Gen X, Millenial (of which I am), and Gen Z Cowboy fans who don’t know much before the modern era, you owe it to yourself to check out this man’s YT channel:

His breakdowns of the older Cowboy squads, as well as his Top 5’s at every position, show just how lucky and DAMM special this franchise has been for 60 years. GM Tex Schramm and Head Scout Gil Brandt were amazing at their jobs and were even utilizing data driven evaluations with a custom computer back in the late 60’s.
It’s easy to dismiss the old Legends and say they wouldn’t fit in today, but if you compare their stats to now, all things being equal, they would kill it. With modern conditioning and nutrition, guys like Bob Lilly, Randy White, Too-Tall Jones, Harvey Martin, Hollywood Henderson, and Tony Dorsett would be blowing up fantasy stats weekly.
Even though our skill players have earned many of the accords, the Dallas Cowboys have been excedingly gifted with many excellent offensive and defensive linemen. If I had to choose any Cowboy to bring back, it’s gotta be someone on the 90’s Great Wall of Dallas. A lot of y’all have said Larry Allen, and I love him, but for me, I gotta go with Big E.
Pre-'94 Car Crash, Erik Williams, was maybe the best Right Tackle we have ever had. He routinely played across from legendary pass-rushers like Reggie White and Michael Strahan, and absolutley neutralized them.
