Sam definitely has more potential than Taylor but yall literally do this with every single quarterback in the starting lineup. Honestly think Taylor is a serviceable starter. His 2 big problems were arm strength and becoming complacent. He seemed like he took rhe foot of the gas at some point. Maybe playing it safe or coach telling him to.
Sam has potential that Taylor never did… I didn’t hang out here during the heinkie run… but I thought all the hoopla was about him making the game fun to watch. The dude was great because he had been in the same OC system for a long time and brought a lot of underdog energy. He was a great bridge qb… he just isn’t the 5-10yr qb kinda guy. He looked so good because our D was top 5-10… if Taylor played this year? Idk man but it wouldn’t be good.

Everything is judged by wins and losses. Look at Herbert or Justin Fields… same as Sam. One will throw for 400 in a loss and the other will rush for 100 and 2 TDs in a loss. Great job on the stats, but win the fucking game. That’s all any of us should care about. That’s why I was a Heinicke guy, 5-1-1 last year, won games but the QB play was sketchy.
Nothing wrong with being critical of Sam at times. Also nothing wrong with realizing he’s done more than most QBs in the last 10 years and he’s developing. He’s not a finished product and unfortunately clown ass fans expect Peyton Manning after 12 games. Which shows how stupid this fan base really is.

I am not sold on Sam by any stretch.
Howell gets too much of a pass for whenever he plays poorly. Yeah the OL isn’t good and the receivers could do better at getting open but sometimes he just makes bad plays and fans just write it off.

Lmao not true at all. I never was a Heinicke fan boy. I know ball and Sam can ball. Sam is also basically a rookie and Heinickie was in and out of the league for years. Some of you guys aren’t smart enough to realize young QBs need to time develop.
