    This is tough and complex.

We traded our best WR, two 2’s and two 1’s, potentially including the top overall pick.

That is the very definition of a king’s ransom.

This was a very bold decision to draft BY bc of the historical data as it relates to the “size” questions.

Add in we put all of our eggs today and tomorrow in this basket.

We deserve to be scrutinized for this pick, and the results thus far have been frustrating but it is far from over.

The question to ask ourselves is can BY be the difference maker CJ Stroud is becoming? He can still get on track, but the questions are his results/tape, and the decision to trade up and fire the coach mid season does not make it look unanimous.

This reeks of they went out to dinner and drafted the nicest kid, not the best QB.

It’s actually amazing to see people saying this like it’s a well known fact. Really just goes to show how susceptible people are to believing anything they see.

Media literacy is a big problem. We’re only a few months removed from literally everyone involved with this franchise gushing over Bryce.

It’s possible these reporters heard we wanted Stroud when we thought we were going to #2 and are just stuck on the idea that we wanted him the whole time. But everyone here in Carolina has made it clear they wanted Young and jumped at the opportunity to get him when the Texans went silent.

They’ll believe whatever evidence helps them support the facts they wish to be true.

exactly like the post in /r/nfl yesterday about Tepper saying they originally were going to trade for the 2nd pick which would have landed them Stroud. Most of the people in that thread took it as “see, they always wanted Stroud!”

I heard there was a three team deal. I think between the panthers, bears and texans iirc. And it fell thru last minute. I wonder if texans were going to go to 1st, panthers 2nd. But then Texans made another deal and got Stroud AND Anderson.

Stroud balling out makes people want to believe in an alternate reality that was oh so close.
