Short hand: Whew!

Long hand: I love being a fan, as while I have always been 10 toes down on SGA and rushed into every “TRADE SGA AND DORT FOR…” thread of that time with gasoline draws on…I’m sure somewhere I made a post of how Baze was going to be a quality starter on our team for years to come.

Fans be fans. That stretch of time though was unbearable and I hope all who were “fading for Cade” can at least admit that :)

Pistons are ass cheeks and have young players that would easily complement the Thunder alongside all other 28 teams. They legit play like baby poop and have a head coach who got that MSU football bag. I wouldn’t want anyone to know at this point that Troy Weaver came from the Presti tree…

Cade also just looks…slow. Dunno if its due to the lingering injury but for sure “it don’t look good”.

From what I’ve heard, some believe Troy Weaver hasn’t been able to make some decisions as Gores (Pistons Owner) has overridden some of those decisions.

For example, some believe Troy didn’t want to draft Cade, as well as did not want Monty as head coach.

Either way I feel bad for Pistons fans and hope they can turn it around this season if possible.

In general it’s tough to rate players and coaches from a players perspective. It appears hard even for a FO too.

Good write up to remind everyone about being careful btw

Troy weaver is also the same clown who had wisemen over ant edwards. He’s into athletic prospects even if they lack skill, and he’s god awful at asset management. Tom gores just makes everything worse too, that franchise is an absolute joke every step of the way

So many fans (not just Thunder fans) forget that guys come into the NBA with a lot of room to improve and that even the best prospects are usually 1 or 2 seasons away from being a positive contributing player on a winning team. Patience is almost always better than panic trades. There are no development shortcuts.

This sub will always have a section of annoying people who want to trade everything

And will have a section of people who complain way to much about that section of people

And have a third section of people complaining about the other 2 groups (this is my group)

Pretty much what I’m saying is pretty much every stretch of time is unbearable (except for January of last year when everyone was just so shocked at what was going on we all got along for once)

I suspect Presti may have picked Mobley #1 in that draft (he tried very hard to trade up for him) so us getting Cade was probably never going to happen even with draft luck.

Cade looks a lot like he did in college, and not far off from what I expected his rookie year. He just hasn’t improved like I think everyone expected. Part of it is the roster around him, but he’s also just not shooting well or finishing strong against contact. I still think he can be a fringe all-star with a couple of good shooters to unlock his playmaking.

I’m also quite happy with how everything turned out. Chet has been a revelation, and I don’t rue missing out on Mobley anymore. At all.
