I understand that teams in these contracts are paying for future production, not past production. If I’m going to give you like $100M, I’d like to have some past production. Patrick Williams has done some stuff, but like that’s just… if that’s the number, if that ends up being true and the Vassell deal ends up being the comp that his agents go to, that’s a lot of cheese.

Starting about 32 minutes into The Lowe Post.

Pay him $200 million when Grant Williams went for $54 million with a similar skill set?

idk about 200 million lol. but he’s worth at least what devin fucking vassell just got.

and grant williams isn’t half the defender that pat will is.

I’d much rather have Vassell. He’s a much better all around player who still gives a lot on defense.

Who do you think Pat Will is? He’s not DPOY candidate or the best defender on his team. He’s a good defender but not elite.

agree to disagree. i’d take pat williams over vassell 10/10 times. you can always find a 6’5" wing that can dribble and shoot a little. what’s actually rare is having a forward sized beast who can guard every player on the court and doesn’t make mistakes (while being money from 3 on offense).

I mean you say Vassell can shoot a little but he takes more than double the attempts of Pat Williams from 3 and shoots 39%. He’s also got a 6’10 wingspan and can play-make, and defend multiple positions. It’s not a common skillset
