This is a post where we talk about the unquantifiable stories behind a player’s actual performance that aren’t always shown in the postgame write-ups or the highlight reels.

Did a player put up a great score as a fluke but not look great on the field? Did they put up a terrible stat line but look good when given the chance? Who was purely the beneficiary of an unusual game script? Who was uncharacteristically written out of this week’s score book by factors beyond their control? Discuss the players you watched, and ask about those you didn’t.

The stat line winners and losers are in, but now it‘s film room time. For those who watched the games: Who passed and failed your eye test week 8?

Dude’s helped save my season. I drafted with a focus on the long game and, as such, drafted both Breece and Kamara. Had me struggle the first few weeks but the last couple have been money

    Jahan Dotson

This is the 2nd week in a row Dotson has gotten +8 targets. Last Sunday he had 10 targets with 8 receptions, and a catch ruled as a very questionable drop. I picked him back up before the game based on his week 7 targets with 8. You’re going to be hard pressed to find anyone on the waiver with that volume outside of K. Osborn.

Just a reminder to everyone that the value of this thread is to identify players who had good numbers but looked shitty, or had shitty numbers but looked good. Circle-jerking about the top-scorers is not the intended use of this thread.

The Jets and Giants are why I am now using a braille keyboard to type this.

Luckily, my melted eyeballs prevented me from watching Jimmy Garroppolo last night from what I heard.

Dallas D post-bye — DaRon Bland is the real deal and really is a worthy fill-in for Diggs in the INT department

Any concerns about this D’s injuries and ROS schedule should be firmly put to bed after they got on the stat sheet in every way possible… again

You’re not going to believe me if you didn’t watch the game, but Rhamondre Stevenson looked really good. He ran hard, broke tackles and moved the pile pretty much every time he had the ball. His 50 yards of production don’t tell the story. Pats are totally wasting him like how the Rams wasted Steven Jackson.
