Maybe 35-47?
I feel like there’s some wild expectations in this sub (nothing wrong with that!).
What would you realistically be happy with for the season?
30-35 wins, has been my expectation from the beginning. I’d be good with that.
Improvement, but still low enough in the West to get good a Draft Pick for the future.
That depends on how we play with that record. If we go 30-52 but play teams incredibly close, show massive progress on D and just can’t figure out clutch time, I’m ok.
If we keep having the worst defense ever… no.
Agree 100%. The sheer number of uncontested buckets we give away some nights is concerning.
I’ve always said that would be huge and I’d love that but this team doesn’t even play like a 22-60 team. They don’t run plays, our PG has no court vision and 2 of our primary ball handlers have tunnel vision (at least Keldon can drive and shoot) and our backup PG is solid but too short on defense.
If we wanted to turn this team around next year I would say draft Castle and one of Proctor/Collier, sign Buddy Hield, Tyus Jones and get a Walker Kessler type as a backup center.
And run plays thru Wemby more often. He’s an easy layup/lob. I know he can do so much more and needs to bulk up but his height will win so many of those for us
I think 30 wins would be fine but I’m more concerned with how we’re losing. Losing 50 games is tough to watch but getting blown out in 20 of those would be terrible. It’s concerning that we’re just not showing up some nights.
Yup. Sooo many lessons coming out of these games. Hope we make the most of the learnings and move forward.
I need them to get to 34 wins. For, reasons.
I’m happy with 20+ wins if we look good doing it. I can deal with games like last night if it is getting better from the last game. I hope we stop leaving 3’s open and I can see them improving and getting to the spots where they are supposed to be.
It’s what this sub should have expected coming into the season. Just look at OKC Orlando Houston or any other rebuild and see how many games they won in their 2nd year of rebuilding
As long as the team has an upward trajectory towards the end of the season, I’m fine with any record. Not to dash anybody’s hopes, but we are not winning the title this year or making the playoffs.
More wins than last year
That would suck because I dropped 40 dollars on the over for 34, 33, 32, and 31 wins (10 bucks each). That being said, it’s only 40 bucks and you only bet money your willing to lose. Still, coming that close and falling short would be salt in the wounds.
Selfish reasons aside, I’m not really focused on wininng. I’m more concerned with our overall progress. Seeing where our guys got better and what parts look promising.
No.
I have this team winning 22-25 games, so 30 would be a pleasant surprise.
