The game has changed. That was 7/8 years ago. I get Joe’s point but also referencing an article that was written when Kobe was still playing seems a bit irrelevant imo.

You guys, I really do not fuck with the Celtics in the least bit lol but I am absolutely here for coaches who fire back like this lol it’s how I put it in my pipe, smoked it, and became a Michael Malone stan.

FML, am I now a Mazzulla head?!?? Because if this is what watching the town 4X a week will do, I gotta watch it atleast once lol

Unhinged in the best fucking way; love this for the rest of us who enjoy a spicy coach.

Was Mazulla the guy who was like “oh, I didn’t know that Jesus and Mary were there tonight” after a reporter asked him about royalty being at the game, or something?

Honestly, I’d be pretty pissed about all the “too many threes” talk at this point too. He said a couple things about analytics, and now every bum cries about how “Mazzulla ball” lives and dies by the three even in games where we shoot less threes than the opponent. Threes are a big part of his gameplan, but we take threes because our offense is good at generating open ones when teams load up on the Jays. Not because we seek out opportunities to chuck contested ones.

And if you listen to the Reddick podcast he did, he acknowledges that you can’t just rely on shooting variance in the playoffs. We’ve been posting up Tatum, Porzingis, and even Brown and Jrue very purposefully this season. Its an extremely overblown narrative parroted by people who have already made up their minds about him.

I honestly loved this exchange. It wasn’t even mean spirited like some of the comments suggest. He just shot back at him.

He sarcastically said his article was good when he meant it was awful. That’s not mean to you?

Saying “it’s a great article” sarcastically is such a dick move. Like hey Mazulla I’m sure this guy would like to shit on you for your coaching decisions but instead he has to settle for just raising questions because the media isn’t allowed to treat you that way to your face. And then the laugh at the end just confirmed he’s a d-bag.
