And why?

And, do you expect to actually buy one when you are able to ( either financially when you can some day when you have the $$, or logistically, as in getting a Boxster 10 years from now when your kids are out of the house and on their own)?

Mine was a Corvette. I bought a C7 two years ago. It turned out I didn’t really enjoy daily driving that type of car and also Just didn’t enjoy it as much as I though I would. So I sold it. I’m thankful to have owned a Corvette though.

Right now it’s a 718 GTS 4.0. Although I’ll probably settle for an SS 1LE unless my wife or I gets a major increase in pay.

Felt this way with a c4, and a subsequent c6. I’m afraid to try the c8, I’d be mortified ( and afraid) to admit if I didn’t like it.

In 3-ish years maybe a Lexus IS500 depending on what used prices look like by then

Realistically speaking the new FL5 CTR would the only performance car I would need for a long time.

I’d love to be able to fit in a Miata or be able to afford a Boxster S lol. So that leaves the CTR for a girthy boi like me

C5 Corvette Z06. Bulletproof yet almost infinitely tuneable LS enigne, track worthy handling, and butt-clenching performance- for only around $25-30K for a decent one.

When something breaks, you can often find a replacement at your nearby Autozone. Try that with a Porsche 911 Carrera. Good luck.

Austin healey 100 or 3000, the definitive classic sports car, beautiful curved styling, connected driving position, peppy engine note, and classy leather interior and wire wheels.

it’s stylish without being gaudy, elegant without being stuffy, makes for a great driving package.

and unlike some of the dream cars mentioned here, values on austin healeys are plummeting as the current owners age out. if he drop it imma pick it up up up.

I’ve two dream cars I could and would love to own one day. The first is a ninth- or tenth-series Packard coupe—they’re not cheap, but they can be bought, unlike, say, a V-16 Cadillac, which I would perhaps prefer. (I mean, I’d be fine with most any multi-cylinder early '30s car, I guess.)

The second is a '68 Plymouth B-body. I’m torn between whether that takes the form of a mean, triple-black Hemi-equipped Road Runner; or a Slant-Six-equipped Satellite (dream spec would be in white with a blue Floral Top and interior—they specced two Slants like that, according to the registry!).

Just picked up the second in my flair yesterday! I’ve loved these wagons since back when Audi said they weren’t coming to America.

Next on the dream list is to a Ferrari with a V12. I don’t think that would be for long term ownership like my current cars because Ferraris are decidedly NOT known for reliability or reasonable upkeep costs. But a moderately used one that I won’t lose my ass on might be possible one day, and I want that sound and experience for a few months.
