This would’ve been a good post if it wasn’t for the complete nonsense about Hutch, he’s been incredible.

Nobody is talking like he should start this year, and going forward in future years is obviously a real question, and we should hope he has real star potential. I don’t think this team is better than 2014 either at this point, I don’t see how is the best of a lifetime season. We are 2 fluky plays from being 6-5. I know we are 8-3, but it’s notable.

The defense has a serious talent deficiency and is average statistically. It’s insane how people are acting like we have a bottom 5 defense rather than a middle of the pack defense

We let by only 4.6 yards per play against Chicago, that’s not atrocious at all that’s pretty solid. If it continues being like against GB I’d be worried, but that’s too short of a trend.

The defense is 19th in yards per play, 12th in yards per game, should be about 15th or 16th in DVOA after last game. They are basically exactly average this season, not bad.

Now look at our roster. Our secondary is poor, Branch is the only good player and 2 of our FA signings are injured, Sutton has been a disappointment. At LV we have Anzalone having a solid career year, a mediocre player in Barnes, and a struggling rookie. We have two great lineman in Hutch and McNeil, but that’s it, the line falls off tremendously after

Please tell me why anyone thinks firing our DC will somehow improve things? This is not even close to an above average defensive roster.

It definitely lost most of my confidence in him. I still fully understand why the rebuild is taking this long, we were legit the most barren team in the league by far, but that was an awful move and we can’t afford any of those.

Well the Hawks have him shooting almost 40% from 3 while playing well within the team in his role so maybe Bey wasn’t the issue here
