Lions are having the best season of our lifetimes. If you think there is even a chance Hooker would be anywhere near as good as Goff you need treatment. We are finally a good team and the fact some one you are pulling for Hooker just proves how dumb some of us really are. I doubt we will see Hooker play a single regular season game ever as a Lions. Places like Woodward sports should be ashamed for even talking about this. Like holy cow what a bunch of spoiled babies you are.

This is not the best season of my lifetime.
Nobody is talking like he should start this year, and going forward in future years is obviously a real question, and we should hope he has real star potential. I don’t think this team is better than 2014 either at this point, I don’t see how is the best of a lifetime season. We are 2 fluky plays from being 6-5. I know we are 8-3, but it’s notable.

Gee, someone wasn’t given enough attention as a child… Chill man. No one, a few fringe comments aside, wants to start hooker over Goff. Let the man practice, let us have our fun with the idea of a mobile QB playing for us in garbage time at the end of the season. Unless Goff gets hurt or starts fumbling 3 times every game, there is no way any fan is serious about wanting to start Hooker.
I like the hooker pick. A capable backup in round three is a steal. But there seems to be this thought that he was gonna be a 1st round guaranteed starter and dropped to the third solely because of injury and that’s just not in line with his metrics and measureables. His ceiling/projection was never top flight starter and it’s unrealistic to assume that his development path. I tricky the Lions are putting him in the best possible position to succeed and that he can overcome being a RPO/first read system QB, but it’s out of step with what everyone else seemed to understand to just pencil him in as the future starter.

If you think there is even a chance Kaepernick would be anywhere near as good as Alex Smith you need treatment.
If you think there is even a chance Brady would be anywhere near as good as Bledsoe you need treatment.
right… this dude has no clue what he is talking about, and tbh Goff could just as easily fall off a cliff as well. I am not saying replace Goff, but I actually cant wait to see what Hooker could potentially do.
It’s possible to have all of the following bee true:
- Like Goff and think he can win a playoff game with this team
- Not want to give Goff $50M per year
- See better upside in a guy like Hendon - who would absolutely have some growing pains, but unquestionably throws a better ball and has an escapability factor Goff will never have.
Imagine being a New Engdland fan in 2000/01 wanting to replace Bledsoe with a 6th round guy who looked like a doughboy at the combine…
It’s realistic, now, that Hooker could see some game time week 17 or 18. Ben got some motivation for getting him a few snaps.

What the F are you talking about!?!? You don’t draft a player in the 3rd round and never expect him to play. Not to mention he would have gone top 5 overall if he had been fully healthy. Hookers up side is WAY higher than Goff, he will sit on the bench for a few years but he is definitely the future of this team

Bro have you ever watched him play?? Because your sounding like you’ve never even seen a highlight. Hooker has mobility, feet and legs to extend the play and move the ball down the field. Goff can only sit in the pocket and make a midrange throw. Hooker has the potential to be a complete package
