  • He’s definitely on his way. We saw some good things from Jones and Pickett until they badly regressed (not to mention Trubisky from a few years earlier). I think you are also underrating Trevor Lawrence, and as you note Purdy is a total anomaly.

    What we’ve seen from Love the last month is encouraging and is showing him to be growing into the role of legit starter. What we need to really see him take the full reins is that against some bad teams coming up (Giants, Titans, Panthers, Bears) for him to control games from start to finish, to make sure there isn’t even a chance a potentially botched onside kick attempt gives the other team a chance to tie the game, like we saw against the Lions. Basically, that’s forgivable against a team like this year’s Lions but we have to slam the door offensively against these bad teams coming up. To me, if he can do that, and then show that he can keep it there into next season, then he’s solidified his status as the Packers next long term QB.
