alltime great at his position + consummate professional + great leader + wore my favorite number
easy choice
bad snaps by the center should be charged as a fumble by the center: https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/jgrar5/stat_question_if_a_center_snaps_the_ball_over_the/g9s1p35/
the way our defense has been playing, we are…very dangerous
Even in the early season when our defense was a dumpster fire our offense was pretty inconsistent imo. It’s probably going to be what holds us back ultimately because Russ is playing hyper-conservatively which I guess can get it done but our defense is looking damn fine
I think Payton just overall doesn’t trust Russ, and I don’t even blame him with how inconsistent he has been since last year, but Russ has been pretty solid in the redzone this year. If there’s one place on the field to “let Russ cook with heavy supervision”, it’s there
I genuinely don’t understand what the Vikings were doing last night. In the final drive, Perine got 7 yards, 10 yards, 17 yards, 6 yards and 7 yards. That would make sense for the defense to give that up if there was only 1:30 left, but we started the ball with over 3 minutes so of course Russ and Payton were a-ok with those dumpoffs
really baffling defense
tbh…those were moves that needed to be made because of one of the worst defensive performances of alltime (against the Dolphins)
I guess I give VJ credit for how well the scheme has worked but I don’t think he benched Mathis because it was the “right” move or anything. He benched Mathis because he was desperate and if our defense continued to be the WOAT he would’ve been deported to Antarctica
lol and the Chargers have a positive differential
I like how the “fans” need to be on board with it as if we have any effect on anything
literally every team that has a need for edge rushing will be pursuing him
yeah, I’m 5’6”. Despite being short I’m pretty sturdy and it’s actually kind of hard to back me down
That said, it’s nigh impossible for me to contest a shot of anyone who’s at least a little taller than me
Surtain deserves this more than Russ does
depending on seeding???
dude if we make the playoffs it would be a miracle
we’re also a few plays away from being 1-8. We should’ve lost to the Bears (took that really bad fourth down call for us to win) and we easily could’ve lost to the Packers, Chiefs and Bills
we’re one of the 28 teams that have been winning/losing on very close margins
I’m…kind of surprised by this. It’s not like the Vikings are considered to be that much better than us…
our secondary has thankfully turned into one of the best in the league. Obviously biased but I think PS2 is the best corner in the league, Simmons is a top safety and Moreau has been pretty solid
Our LBs are probably average
tbh everyone should do yoga. The two exercises I want to do until the day I die are yoga and golf
We’ve been a bad, irrelevant team for 7 years and we got really lucky last night. There’s not much to talk about
I’m getting annoyed at the people who think we’re better than we are and that we should be basking in the glory in the win rather than calling out how last night was super ugly and the Bills did more to lose than we did to win
Russ threw for less than 200 yards. The only other QBs to do that against the Bills are Howell, Zach Wilson and Jimmy G. That’s…bad company to be in, especially considering he was gifted with 4 turnovers
he only threw the ball about 3 yards down field per attempt last night, which is a career low. He’s playing it very very safe which I guess is fine because it helped with the win but he’s not been good by any means. He’s really a Tyrod Taylor right now
“Hello,
This is an industry alert. Did you know Josh Allen throws a lot of interceptions?
Thank you,
This has been an industry alert”
unfortunately the sketchiness about his time at Tennessee has soured me on him a little bit. loved him as a QB for us but he has a bit of a greasy history that goes beyond the incident itself
