Week 18 Eagles will probably rest their starters (assuming they are not in jeopardy of losing their #1 seed), so that’s winnable too.
I’m not saying we will make the playoffs but Packers, Saints, Rams, and Eagles backups are all possible wins. The thing is we need to win ALL 4 of those. I think 8-9 gets us in the playoffs in a weak NFC. I’m also skeptical we beat any of those teams though, we barely beat the Patriots lol. Just saying if we somehow go on a bit of a run and the defense plays the way it’s been playing there’s a chance.
You’re gonna get downvoted to oblivion, but even though I don’t necessarily agree with you, I agree that Herro doesn’t gel with the starters as well as others think. I think he would be best suited off the bench like that season he won 6MOY. There are too many cooks in the kitchen for him to hold the ball and do is thing. It would benefit us much more if we can start the game letting Bam/Jimmy cook, then Tyler comes in with a greenlight and lets it fly. Right now Tyler has the greenlight as the starter but he’s just taking those opportunity’s away from others than can score, instead of taking the opportunity away from the bench unit that has problem scoring. He’s never going to go back to the bench but I truly believe we would be so much better if JJJ/Duncan started and Herro came off the bench.
This was quite possibly the weirdest and most misleading “highlights” video I’ve ever seen. It showed more lowlights than highlights, then most of the “highlights” were assists and rebounds.
He scored 20 points and I saw only about 7 of them in the video. I don’t understand why they showed rebounds, assist, airballs, and his shots being blocked over the other 13 points?
The only thing at stake is Daboll losing the locker room
Other than that there is nothing at stake and there is nothing to prove anymore
Scratch it up, maybe find some things that work but lose games in the process (I know they won’t purposely lose).
Top 2 pick should give us a bright future at QB going forward along with a great defense.
They will focus on fixing the o-line this offseason, they almost HAVE to or it’s malpractice. People also forget we didn’t have our best player all season, Andrew Thomas.
I think despite how bad we’ve been this year, we could still at least be in contention for playoffs next year even with a rookie QB.
I think Duncan should start
Starters: Lowry/Duncan/Jimmy/Highsmith/Bam
Bench: Jrich/Caleb/JJJ/Love/Bryant
JJJ has not had better stats than any of these guys, which doesn’t mean he’s a worse player at all but that’s what this race updates look for.
Also you have to take into account most, if not all, of these players have freedom of trial and error because they are rookies on bad teams. JJJ is like the 7th-8th option on a ‘contending’ team with low minutes and even when he plays he’s not first option. He’s playing a role for us while other teams are trying to give their rookies the green light to shoot.
There’s no reason to be upset about it, it’s just the nature of the situation.
The problem is Bo Nix and Pennix aren’t dropping to the second or even late first, they will probably both be top 15 picks.
QB is the most important position in the game, and you don’t get many chances to get a good one. You go out and get your guy, if Schoen likes Maye at say #2, he’s taking him no questions ask. You don’t risk taking Marvin Harrison Jr and striking out on a qb in the 2nd round.
We had this same question about someone only making 1 shot at a 100% rate and we said that was even valuable.
Imagine the last couple minutes of every game you have a guaranteed 15 points (assuming he can shoot 3’s). Throw him in in every clutch situation and you practically win every close game.
If it’s just a swap? Yea of course, but it’s not.
Sixers probably want 2 first round picks in addition to the swap, in which case…no.
Ever since the “Dangerous Loomers” I don’t read these things anymore.
What the hell is even that?
How do you have 2 Timberwolves in the top 30 with the best player on the team not even on your list.
Your math isn’t mathing
This is the reason the phrase “There’s no such thing as a stupid question” isn’t accurate.
I mean it depends, does your team already have a solid #2 or superstar of its own, like say Scottie Pippen? If not then no, give me Shaq and Bird.
Why can’t every team just give their players lesser contracts and promise other forms of payments that don’t count towards the salary cap? Are they stupid?
