can someone make fun of him every game before the game or something so he is like this every game all game?

yeah he was injured
I want him to develop. I think him developing in better line ups helps him too
Samson Folk wrote an article today basically asking the same question and suggesting that we pair Barnes with one other starter like OG. This is essentially what I am asking for unless we upgrade the bench.
So as much as you used it to try to belittle the post you didn’t understand the post.
cool i’d still like to limit the minutes
they have gone from wanting to trade him to … in trade talks for lillard to pair with him… to maybe we keep him maybe we trade him…
we have no idea what we are doing masai admitted last year at the end that he wasn’t in touch with the team.
if you are asking can it get worse… yes it can trust me
I skimmed the bolded and saw you missed the key in all of it. Masai.
at this point we need to stop having so many projects
Basically Barnes right now is a jack of all trades but they want him to master one or two things REALLY REALLY well. Can he do it? Yes, but we need a better blue print and that is what they appear to be working on.
“I think he still has a lot of potential and talent.”
people say the same thing about precious.
It’s the situational awareness.
then you require the front office to still trade poeltl
only one would be boggy and jaden ivey and one other guy to fill any salary needs
I would do it and then extend pascal and if it doesn’t work flip pascal in the summer when he is under contract already and during the draft.
perhaps its a bad scheme
championship parade will happen because people blindly trust this front office.
we needed pascal and scottie to basically go super nova in two different games separately to overcome ridiculous deficits… its going to be al ong year
because his defence in pick and roll is terrible
So to interject a bit of nuanced into this discussion this is how I personally read the piece then and now. When I first read the piece I saw it as a piece about miscommunication between two parties about expectations and visibility.
I think one thing that is important when you work in an organization is providing visibility over your work and not necessarily leaving your boss in the dark. Sometimes this comes in the form of documentation or “tps” reports. Sometimes it leads to micromanagement but in general communication is important and the key. It seems like a lot of the older vets used to work with some of the coaching staff and Barnes worked with “his guy” and on “his terms”. That is all well and good, but you should be providing some visibility because a team in theory may have plans for you that work within a team context or they may want you to work on xyz.
Now did Barnes just laze around and not do anything? Of course not, but to me, beyond the shot I don’t see the biggest improvement in his offensive game instead I see it in a consistent level of effort that he puts out there on MOST games. Still has a tendency to be passive at times. He himself admitted he wasn’t in the best shape coming into his second year and wanted to work on his cardio. His words not mine.
I think some people viewed it as a hit piece but it depends on what you expect out of Dougy. Dougy treats a lot of the players with the old puckhead mind set in general but that doesn’t mean he is completely wrong. Sometimes it isn’t what is said but how it is said. Did Masai go down and talk to Barnes about his effort. Yes, he did he admitted he did in the end of season presser.
