While it was nice to hit 400 yards so quickly after he’s gone, the thing that makes Canada seem so much worse than we thought he was is how competent the offense looked moving the ball. Jokes aside, this was the smoothest the offense has looked in the last few years. At no point did I feel like we were even close to falling back into the routine 3 and out pattern. Now, we’re far from perfect. But this was an amazing first step to fixing our problems. And if we can keep it up while fixing some more next week, we just might start seeing our boys as they should be.

Idk where y’all get this “chicken and the egg” crap from. Canada has been here for 3 years, we’ve barely had Pickett for 1.5. The offense was like this well before he took over and if we’re not careful, it’ll be like this after he’s gone.

At some point, any other offense would’ve had a fluke game where they overperformed all expectations. Even the worst QBs of all time have had that one game where they went off inexplicably.

It’s an indictment of Matt Canada that throughout this many different QBs over the past 3 years, his offense hasn’t even come close to having a game like that. Yes, we obviously need a clear cut QB1 to be our face of the franchise. But until we get an OC who isn’t so blatantly predictable, it won’t matter who our QB is. The next one will simply be the latest in this line of underproducing QBs.

Y’all gonna be in for a surprise if and when we replace Pickett while keeping Canada.

We need a new OC first and foremost. Canada is not gonna suddenly call better plays when we get a new QB. He’s had 3 years and hasn’t done anything to improve.
