I mean Black Mesa exists… Idk how well it runs on Deck as I’ve always been content with HL1 normal, but I imagine it could look pretty sweet.

This is extremely promising, I believe I’ve got a Samsung panel, but I’d be worried about hurting my baby. Also, if you can, see if you can get Windows to recognize the Deck as HDR. Apparently that’s “impossible” but so was VRR, and now that’s a possibility.
Kingdom: Two Crowns
If you find management stressful, fair enough, but this game is so cozy to play. Especially the Norse Lands DLC. Watching your little guys build and protect as the sun rises, with the soundtrack. It’s so nice.
Why is it even this controversial? Like install it if you want, it’ll likely increase the lifespan of your device and make storage management easier if nothing else. Just let people do what they want with the tech they own. That’s like, the best thing about the Deck, Nintendo wouldn’t let you try this stuff at all.
It seems like the Limited Edition ones are the weak links for the most part. My 512 OLED works perfecurly:
The future is now, Old Man!
I was already planning a shell swap thanks to the new screw posts, so I didn’t really care all that much for it. I’m gonna make a purple/black Deck but give it the orange accents because I like loud color combos.
Getting the monogram skin with my Killswitch, not a big Verge fan but the purple on black will vibe with my atomic purple shell swap I’ll do whenever OLED mods come out.
Introducing the Steam Cβngle.
*First probably
Mine was 100 percent spot on. So idk.
Tbf the Ally has very little over the Deck OLED besides performance and the Legion does more. Not saying it’s a bad device but it’s a little dull compared to its contemporaries.
Hot take, Risk of Rain. I simply prefer the 2D games. If we ever get a Deadbolt sequel it better be 2D.
Sadly modern technology doesn’t age as nicely as Gameboys and other retro stuff will. Some will, but the majority likely won’t.
Darkest Dungeon 1 and 2.
Yeah, there should be a degree of separation on that account, they aren’t your friend. But you, as a “gamer” should know that Valve is a friend.
This is the one company that the whole, “Corporations aren’t your friend” Schtick doesn’t entirely apply to. I mean, they don’t care about you specifically, but gamers as a whole, they definitely care. Valve is our friend, in a world of EAs, Nintendos, and Activisions, Valve is our friend.
Can’t wait for 3rd party drop ins of the orange detailing for matte decks. Love the orange but think it would vibe better on matte. Also I couldn’t stand if something happened to a limited edition I owned. My 512 OLED has been ordered and I’m already stressed about that.
And the OLED supposedly gets at least an extra hour in the heavier stuff too.
OTXO, Salt and Sanctuary, and Cruelty Squad have been my favorites. They’re all very stylized and the screen really makes the colors pop and for OXTO, a game that uses only Black, White, and Red. The contrast is really cool and when the blood hit the ground it really does stand out in a way the og Deck could never hit.
