Plenty of college greats “have potential” but that doesn’t always mean they will be good in the pros. I like hooker, but we haven’t seen him play. Couldn’t imagine what this group would be like if we let Goff go and hooker turned out to be not it. He’s also only 3 years younger than Goff.

It’s definitely fair to imagine better, but realistically the odds of getting better is few and far. That’s why 2/3 of the league is still searching for their qb

I agree he shouldn’t be paid top tier. But I don’t agree with a lot of players salaries these days… hockenson gets paid more than cmc for example… qb market is even worse. Considering he’s making $33 this year, I can see him doing something like Daniel jones which he is way better than. $7mil more basically just equals the price of inflation for the dollar at this point

Sooo much this. Do people like dak, Daniel jones, Kyler, or even Josh Allen all the time??? Those guys are all paid relatively more than Goff, and he is arguably the best out of all them right now. People think generational qbs just grow on trees. We have our guy and the most important thing about Goff is he has bought in to our team and city. He’s never going to give up in a game, he’s got that grit

Right?? Campbell was never a coordinator but made a great head coach. Most coordinators do not make great coaches. Everybody kept saying Eric bienemy was leaving the chiefs for years for a HC position. Still isn’t a hc. I feel like coordinators becoming hc’s has failed miserably lately
