QBs read defenses all the time so Herbert should know what’s coming. Why doesn’t he just tell the defense what the opposing QB is about to do? Is he stupid?

…Is he self-anointed, though, or was that the talking heads and fans hyping him up? Was he walking into interviews, shaking hands and saying, “Nice to meet you. Brandon Staley, defensive guru.”? I’m no fan of his coaching but without hard evidence, I find it hard to believe he’s self-annointed. The thought is funny, though.

Beat GB and BAL and I might start believing then. We can go 4-1 in the next five games after that and probably be on the bubble, needing to beat the Chiefs in week 18, who may still be competing for the 1-seed. Lose to BAL and winning out will probably be our only option after that. I don’t believe 10-7 will get us in. Watson getting hurt helps our chances. Interested to see how TNF and MNF “express themselves” this week.

…and? This team doesn’t have a legendary RB and TE, and the defense is worse than trash. They’re the grime and juice at the bottom of the dumpster. Herbert and the offense have to play completely flawless football NOT to win, but just to have a chance and pray that the defense does something.

Seems Tuli and Joey have really bonded. Glad to see the vet really take the rookie under his wing. I think he’s just excited for Tuli’s potential and happy to have that alongside him.
