Tough to come back when you can’t get stops
Yeah that 7 game sample size is tied around his neck right now. It’s unfortunate but that’s the reality of being a star. I think it was a fluke and he will crush it in the playoffs this year, but until he does that it will always be “looney owns him” for some people.
Monte being active entails hanging up the phone when he hears the words “we want Keegan Murray in return” over and over.
Crap you’re right. Just re-ran the code and it’s now showing 98 points in regular season game 82. Thank you!
It would be interesting to see him out there with the starters in place of HB. I think he and Keegan could be devastating as a shooting combo, working off Fox and Domas. HB could be great off the bench as a “glue guy” who can get buckets and fouls when the 2nd unit needs it.
They showed it on the local broadcast I just gave my read on it in response to another comment. Keegan got hit in the eye (by Klay’s head) I think. It wasn’t intentional or violent, just bad luck it looked like.
Complaining about illegal screens is how you identify people who don’t know anything about the nba (or basketball in general)
I don’t have video but they showed a replay on the local broadcast. It didn’t look like much, wasn’t a hard hit, but Klay and Keegan bumped heads. My guess is that Keegan got hit right in the eye and couldn’t see. He def stayed down longer than you would expect based on the contact but I’m sure he wasn’t flopping or faking it (it’s Keegan). Just took a little hit in a very bad spot I think. Surprised nobody asked him about it postgame (that I saw).
It’s going to be interesting when Trey gets healthy. If Javale is getting consistent minutes, there’s really only room for one of them, assuming HB and Keegan and Domas are healthy. I loved what Sasha did last night and I could see him playing more minutes than Trey ultimately. Whatever happens, it’s a damn good problem to have because they both look like plus role players (granted it’s only one game for Sasha but he can obviously shoot and his defense was better than I expected).
Kings desperately need Keegan’s defense, especially against teams with great wings like LAC. There’s a noticeable difference without him out there imo. And even though he hasn’t been shooting the 3 like last year he still puts pressure on opposing defenses because he can score from anywhere and you can’t just leave him. I think it’ll make a big difference when he comes back, hopefully Saturday.
