The early season struggles with the line were because he refused to make changes. Since they made changes they’ve been serviceable. Part of the problem with the run blocking is that the run designs are ass and very predictable. In the passing game, the obvious answer is more rollouts and stretch runs to accompany them. It’s a lot harder to get pressure on and contain a QB in a moving pocket. He’s just not doing anything that a good OC does to make up for a team’s deficiencies. Also, he should’ve tried out max protect sets with only 2 receivers. You’ve just got to give different looks and try different things. Not just keep rubbing the scheme that you want to run

I think better lbs will mean some of the issues in the secondary and it’s a cheap option. It’s easier to cover in a zone when you know the middle of the field is actually being patrolled

And they played outside leverage when they know the help inside is trash

He has had a lot of mistakes, but he is still improving. I think he’d look good next to a competent seasoned vet, but he’s not good enough to be the best LB on a team

Almost all of the issues stopping the run and a lot of the issues stopping the pass are on the lbs. We refuse to run which is different from not being able to run

Ron’s a bum. Outside of MVP Cam and Kuechly’s prime he’s been a subpar coach. This is the NFL. Every team is capable of competing. His 4 years to compete bullshit when he got hired was a sign of things to come. Can’t wait until he’s gone. I ran out of patience last year when he blamed Jamin Davis for the team’s struggles when it was Ron’s fault the team had to lean so heavily on a second year guy playing out of position. This team had enough talent to compete before trading the DEs. They’d have enough talent to compete for the division they kept Holcomb or got another playable lb. They’re just very poorly coached. They come out flat, go through lulls, and don’t play complimentary football
