We have the worst win percentage in the NFL since 2019. TLDR at bottom.

Tepper and the front office have flip flopped between rebuilding and making horrible FA and contract moves trying to make a run all the sudden. There is no stability, no plan, no identity. I know I sound dramatic but it’s true.

Now Reich is taking back play calling because he knows he’s on the hot seat and wants to control his destiny, at the cost of Youngs development and Browns options next year. In my opinion it’s likely that this switch was pushed on Reich/Brown by Tepper after losing 6 games. The same week we cut a starting lineman mid season as if that’s gonna really matter and motivate the group to play better under this new awful zone blocking scheme anyway. It’s just so bad. We abandoned any shred of what worked last year and pushed all of these horrible schemes on our players that weren’t built for them, this coaching negligence honestly can’t be overstated.

I see no future where the front office has actually contributed in a major way to building a stable winning (hell I’ll just take stable at this point) franchise, if anything we will get lucky with personnel decisions/draft and they will win in spite of this, not because of it.

I truly see no future of winning football for the Panthers under this leadership. I could respect losing this amount if we were truly building something, all we have is perennial impatience with horrible moves and no fire or identity. The team is managed so terribly that most of the fanbase looks back on an interim HC as the best times since 2015. Games in the Bank are actually a joke now, literally a clt transplant party for the team of the week, I know some of you remember what it was like before Tepper to go to a game in Charlotte.

Unless Tepper steps back in a big way and lets someone else pick the next coaching staff I see no future for Carolina football unless the players are good enough to win in spite of all this, but we have a GM who hasn’t made even a decent pick outside of round 1 in years.

TLDR: If Tepper ever delivers a winning season it will be in spite of the FO/Management not because of them. Unless there is fundamental change, not just another cleaning of house, but a new decision maker at the top who has been around the league.

This team will only change when Tepper keeps his grubby hands off major decisions. Frank is NOT the main problem, Scott is NOT the main problem, Tepper hires awful and then pressured them to make more bad choices to feed his ego. Unless he actually hires someone with a backbone, this organization will continue to be dysfunctional and inept. The next hires we have will be Frank and Scott all over again, with different names but the same people.

Honestly, they are on their second “Aw shucks, c’mon guys, let’s go” type of head coaches (one proven more competent on the NFL level than the other). The “come up for air” moment was Wilks. This is a highly intensive contact sport that is basically simulated combat. This team lacks the mean streak that is necessary to compete on a consistent basis. Some teams have it more than others, but all competitive teams have one.

When the team moves to Europe and the the NFL (behind closed doors) manages the player personnel because they can’t have a dog be the face of the NFL in Europe, is when this team will be successful under Tepper.

I know this is drastic and most likely will never happen but it’s the only way to reign in his ego!

I mean, it is possible to learn and get better at stuff. Even if Tepper sucks now, it doesn’t mean he’ll suck forever.

He’s a very successful person. He very well good just get better.
