Seriously, it was heartbreaking to see Keria lose last Worlds’ finals and break down in tears, because it was really the very last match, the 5th of a Bo5 and his team ended up losing. Now, he finally gets to win Worlds, he is allowed to get a skin to leave his mark on League… and seemingly none of the champions he can pick are even liked by him. Now, don’t get me wrong, I know the limit is “champions that the player picked during Worlds”, so one can argue that Keria could have picked Lux at some point, but honestly, according to Gumayusi, he wanted to, but he couldn’t because he wasn’t in blue side, in which he could better use Lux. I know it sounds like entitlement, but… is he not really entitled to it? He is a Worlds champion, for fuck’s sake, he earned that, let him leave the mark that he wanted. He did play Lux last Worlds, and I’m pretty sure he played Lux at some point this year as well, so why deny the guy the skin he wants the most? The worst part is not that he isn’t getting Lux, it’s that he doesn’t like his options, which means he made his picks for his team, but ended up not getting the reward he wanted. Change the rule to be “champions that the winners picked this year” or at least “champions that winners picked in the last two editions of Worlds”. Because sometimes the champions the players like are not gonna be meta and they will prefer to not pick them to be more helpful to their team. But this should be about them and not just who they pick.
I know it would be just another Lux skin, but you know what? These guys work hard to win Worlds, there is a lot of training, focus and teamwork involved. Sure, it was a 3-0 this time, but it’s not like their opponents didn’t face a bunch of tough competition throughout Worlds. #GiveKeriaHisLuxSkin
I watched every t1 game this season and im a huge keria fan. but don’t have much sympathy here. he’s got 7 champs to choose and there is a lot of variety between them. bard, rakan, senna - all sick picks that I think he would actually rack up a lot of hours playing
I’m gonna be the downer here but no. They shouldn’t bend or break the rules for keria. I’m a t1 fan but it would be a big fuck you to the other winners who wanted a different skin than the one they got. This isn’t just a keria problem, quite a few other champs play the meta to win so it stands to reason that many of them were not able to get a skin they wanted. I know if I was a champ, I’d be annoyed that the rules were broken for anyone when they were adhered with me

I personally don’t agree with the rule but it shouldn’t be changed on a whim because of 1 player, if they wanted to change it they would need to announce it at least before worlds starts.
Haven’t there been a ton of players that felt this way? It might suck but just because it’s T1 it doesn’t matter and just because it’s Keria… I mean he’s not any more a winner than the rest of them.
If Renata and Bard are the only options. I would personally like to see T1 Renata. I could visualize the worlds throphy in red as renata’s Flying machine thingy (I don’t know what its called)

He should’ve picked lux in game 3 after they stomped weibo 2 games in a row, it wouldn’t matter if it was a bad pick and they would even drop a game because of it, although it’s kinda risky I guess.
I think that rule should be removed. Why can they only pick out of the champion pool they played at Worlds? Just let them pick their favourite champion. They’re world champs for god’s sake.

I think he wants a Lux skin because Lux is the most popular champ in League and probably sells the most skins, so will be the biggest money maker for him.
Winning worlds is a dream so many great players fail to achieve even once. The rule that you can only chose the champ you played during the tournament is silly to me personally. Their fav may not be meta or it may just be a bad pick that could result in a loss.
Denying a world champion of what champion they want to chose when they may never win again, is just too strict I feel like.

Honestly, it’s valid in some ways, but really stupid in other ways. I personally think they, as winners of the tournament, should be allowed to pick anything they want.
