Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating it. Keeping with tradition, I’ve decided to put off hosting the weekly Complaints & Confessions Thread and substitute it with something a little better this week.

So, instead of complaining or talking about the things that have been weighing heavy on your mind, let’s take a moment to jot down a comment or two about the things we’re thankful for or anything that you otherwise want to rave about. Doesn’t necessarily have to be running oriented either.

Spread some joy, share some love, and let’s hear what you’re thankful for.

Thankful to have found an amazingly supportive running group to encourage me and get me excited about running. Running for me has been as much about mental health as it has been about physical health.

I’m also thankful for having the ability to move.

Oh, and I can’t forget being thankful for living in an area with 4 seasons. That way I can complain about 4 different types of weather throughout the year ;-)

Thankful: I am super thankful for my partner and his support of my crazy run ambitions and crazy other ambitions!

Thankful: that I have figured out my cross training 🤞 and have lead to me not having had any running injuries this year which has lead to some amazing PRs! (Goes and knocks on wood)

Thankful: for all the new friends I have made this year through my cross training!

Rave: new watch has arrived! I’m excited to explore the new metrics and be able to follow courses with greater than 50 turns!

Thankful: to continue to find a love of running. Ending last year with an injury was tough and I’m so glad that I’m back at where I want to be

Thankful: that I have this running community to draw inspiration from each and every day

Thankful: that Turkey trot miles will be at the perfect temperature

Thankful for a badass body! I have rheumatoid arthritis and running isn’t easy. After struggling with a super swollen knee, I was able to run a 5k recently with a friend who lives far away. It was incredible!

Thankful for races. We’re making a habit of sleepovers and Saturday morning 5ks. We have another one next week and I can’t wait!

Thankful: to be so sore today because it is from moving into my house all day yesterday! Which was … oof, a real feat. Also thankful for my new neighbors who are so sweet and who helped me and my partner move two very heavy and awkward things inside.

Thankful: for running, because even though I haven’t been doing it much lately, I know it’ll be there when I’m able to pick back up.

Thankful: for a long weekend because jfc did I mention how sore and tired I am, I feel like I was hit by a truck :p Definitely gonna need these next few days to recover!

Rave: my cat seems very very happy with this house I bought her. Plus no more upstairs neighbors!!

Yes it totally is. I think she’s quite pleased with my choice so far! Lots of things to explore and new views out the windows. And maybe a few mice to hunt.

Yes mostly! Still a few things at the apartment that I’ll grab this weekend like some dishes, towels, and my plant cabinets. Then I’ll be totally outta there! And then the unpacking begins haha

Thankful I can still do this wonderful activity. Thankful for the air, water, and food that nourish me. Thankful that I have the people in my life that I have.
