Look I don’t agree with what he said and I don’t condone it but I understand.

If anyone of you guys were super passionate about something you believe you’re good at and you make a mistake and someone post that mistake with something like “Yikes” that can really piss you off. I’m sure Jamal is as mad at himself about that touchdown as anyone of us if not more.

It’s understandable to get un reasonably upset about something you’re passionate about and tbh it’s kind of a good thing he’s obviously upset about that touchdown.

Now if the dude on twitter said anything constructive or intelligent other than just saying “Yikes” I’d see it as going overboard.

We have now reached the plateau of Jamal’s career. These instances are only going to increase from here; including misplays, penalties, and negative behavior. This is a product of his attitude and (lack of) ability to adapt.

With such a young impressionable roster, we need to critique these instances more not less. I am now ok if we eat some of the deadcap to move on this offseason.

Imagine sports reporters not being critical about Jamal Adams playing football.

    Press conference after the game:

“Jamal your girlfriend is really ugly, care to comment why?”

What the hell does that have to do with either one of those people’s jobs? That’s a shit thing to do. You would be fired immediately.

If i say something incredibly mean to you and tell you that youre extremely bad at something youre passionate about, then the reasonable response is to NOT call my wife ugly. It is to turn the other cheek, or write something about your passion and how youre doing your best.

He’s a professional athlete. Him and 1,695 other NFL players have been dealing with criticism since they were teenagers, it’s part of the job. Yes he made a mistake and getting crucified for it, but going after someone’s family member is fucking gross and classless. I don’t think he’s a bad person, but he’s gonna have to wear this one for a bit, as he should. Things will blow over and he will be fine.

What Jamal did was immature and he should just apologize for being a dickhead, especially to the woman he demeaned. Until he does that, he’ll have more people rooting against him.

By excusing him attacking someone’s wife, it further erodes civility by making that conduct seem OK. It also makes the fan base and organization look bad. How will he feel if someone attacks his wife? Whoever that person is in the future, hopefully she has thick skin because it’s going to be open season for the “two wrongs make a right” crowd.

God knows I’ve defended Jamal and the trade and said that the injuries are bad luck and shouldn’t be blamed on him but…

Jamal needs to own this mistake, apologise and get the hell off social media. He’s clearly not got thick enough skin to deal with the fairly low level shittalking that happens.

The NFL, especially the media landscape is a fairly forgiving environment if you’re winning and at least have an air of civility in your public interactions.

Sherman’s moved on past all his outbursts and that incident with his in laws and is on TNF, Undisputed and has a podcast. Jamal needs to use this as a serious learning incident and learn to not respond to every jibe and realise that he has to let his on field performance do the talking and by that, he has to execute better.

Ya know, if he was balling out, then we wouldn’t be so up in arms over it. As classless as his behavior was.
