Source. This actually really surprised me. Sure, the Lions’ offense hasn’t looked as good as last year, but it is still top 5 in the NFL right now. Goff has been as good if not better than he was last year; if receivers can clean it up, between him and what Gibbs can do, we could end up with the number one overall offense before all is said and done.

It’s funny how perception differs from reality sometimes.

Anytime someone like Mahomes or Lamar have a couple receivers drop a few passes all you’ll hear is stuff like:

“Wow Lamar’s WR core is so bad and they’re only reason he isn’t putting up better passing numbers!”

When Goff’s receivers drop twice as many passes you won’t hear a word about it. People will just look at the offensive production and say Goff is mid.

Weird, that article from PFF says they lead the league with 20, but their own stats only show 17:

    Jameson Williams - 5

    Sam LaPorta - 4

    Josh Reynolds - 2

    Jahmyr Gibbs - 2

    Amon-Ra St. Brown - 2

    David Montgomery - 1

    Marvin Jones Jr. - 1

So Jamo doesn’t get enough opportunities but he leads in drops? Hows that make sense?

I feel like all the laporta’s came in one game. The first game he played after the calf injury was reported.

With Goff, the routes need to be exact, unless it’s a deep ball.

Doesn’t surprise me at all our offense hasn’t looked quite right and even Amon Ra is dropping easy passes. Are you not watching that games?

This offense is worse than last year somehow

Just reading some comments in here, Jamo is not a bust, way too early to call him that. But let’s not pretend the start of his career hasn’t been the most underwhelming start we could possible imagine. I hope he gets better and he needs to be better

Our boy Sam has a handful of these. I realized today that this guy lived in some place called Highland, IL for 18 years which is where most of the cows in this country live. Then he lived in Iowa for 4 more. He got drafted by the Lions and became an overnight celebrity here because he can play. He’s probably running over more pussy than a freight train speeding through Istanbul right now. He’ll get that sorted out, and then he’ll catch the ball more.

Jameson Williams has 25% of the team’s drops and he has only been targeted 15 times. That is almost impossibly bad haha
