The newer the car, the more watered down the driving experience is to make them safer. This is why peak automotive experience ends around 2008
Yeah, but Shell premium is generally better than other fuels. It creates more horsepower, and is presumably a cleaner fuel. HotRod Magazine does an independent test on an engine dino every few years and Shell Vpower premium always wins out.
Part of me wants to, but I’ve also seen they aren’t that great. I’m on the fence
Nobody believes I drive. 20 year old car. The infotainment system makes it look like a 10 year old car.
So long corvette and that “bang for your buck”
IMO the i6 is a better engine designe than a V8.
Wash it well by hand before winter, then only go through touchless car wash all winter
So what, the E90 just doesn’t exist?
I dunno, those BMW i8’s go pretty cheap.
GMs 3800 in the 80s and early 90s. Fantastic reliability.
It’s dirt, which is why I haven’t noticed the leak.
Michigan winter incoming
“My driving skills saved my life”
Looks like you shouldn’t be driving on low profile tires. Buy a car with smaller wheels and fatter tires.
Traction control
3rd pedal and that wiggly thing in-between the driver and passenger seat
EVs suit the needs for the VAST majority of commutes. As a utilitarian vehicle, it’s an easy win. If I didn’t just buy a house I would buy an EV. Can even charge free at my work. The only concern I’d have is working on it myself, but I have no doubt I would figure it out.
20 year old 525i with 165k on the clock. Runs great, has 3 pedals. Why would I replace it?
Automatics definitely perform better, but the 3rd pedal makes driving a blast. It’s also a much more skilled style of driving, especially the old old ones with a mechanical clutch. You drive a car from the 60s and then realize how talented those old racers were.
“Cars weren’t inexpensive”
Shows the higher purchasing power of what the dollar once was
