This is one of the only teams I could see that being the case as their coach is that good. Although I still highly doubt it as Mac Jones is awful and so is the roster. It would take them a long time to be competitive again, even if they got a top 2 pick.

Realistically this has like a 1% chance of happening but I just appreciate someone here bringing this positivity. I know the team is broken but I hate seeing tanking scenarios this early, leave that for the last few weeks.

If the Titans beat the Colts (at home) next week and are 5-7, the Dolphins game will be a lot of fun. If you somehow defy the odds and sneak out a win you are 6-7 with a LEGIT scenario for the playoffs with the next game being the Texans at home in the Oilers UNIs. If you lose to the dolphins you are back to a ~top 10~ pick. Win win.

The Texans pass blocking (when healthy) is one of the best in the NFL by almost every metric, regardless of who is playing QB. Plus it looks like they drafted an absolute DAWG in Tank Dell. Stroud sits in the pocket forever sometimes, he’s not a fair comparison. Also I think this year (chiefs) proves that QBs elevating bad WRs is an extremely hard thing to do, especially if your blocking is bad.

RB for the future might be a stretch as he doesn’t have an ACL. I heard a doctor after the draft say he thinks Spears will only have like a 3 to 4 year career. However, boy do I hope he defies the odds.

The answer is yes. Jrob also did him no favors by letting some solid players walk. To name a few, players drafted: jeffrey simmons, AJ Brown, Nate Davis, Amani Hooker, David Long, Harold Landry, Teair Tart. players signed or already on team: Derrick Henry, Autry, Lewan, Jones, Tannehill, Roger Saffold, & maybe Conklin.

Also have to remember NFL careers are very short.

There are still very solid LT options after the top 2. Last big board I saw had 8 tackles in the top 40.

Rarely (if ever) has a team actually tanked on purpose in the NFL. It’s always just the team being bad. Remember there are still players that need to play well to get another contract (or keep their current one) to set their families for life. The coaches still need to coach well to keep or get a new job.

I agree. Losing to the Panthers at home this year would be the sign of a failing franchise. I’d MUCH rather pick at 10+ with the current pieces showing promise/progression then have a top 3/5 pick and all the current pieces looking awful.

There are definitely pieces here to build on. IF this years rookie class can develop, I think we are in a good spot moving forward with the draft pick we are likely to have plus the cap/freedom to work with.

It’s all going to come down to how Ran/Vrabel do these next two offseasons.

What most people do not understand is Malik playing was not Vrabel trying to play 2 QBs. It is clearly a “wildcat” package to use a few times a game, which I am all for. Putting Henry, Spears, Malik, & Chig all in the backfield is a scary sight. That package can and IMO will be very effective for the Titans this year.

Burks will be fine. He had two deep routes today that were both inches from being completed where he beat his guy. If he had 2 catches for 100 yards there would be a completely different discussion. We just need to accept he is probably never going to be any better then an average route runner but will always be a vertical threat.

They are not trading either QB. Willis can still be a quality backup QB for 2 years & Tannehill could be extremely important to Levis’s development. Idk if you watched the broadcast but there were multiple times they cut to Levis on the sideline and it looked like Tannehill was helping him out.

Just such a crazy turn of emotions lol. Right as soon as the next segment started he had the biggest smile on his face

I’m not joking when I say my biggest fear about Levis starting this year is he is now single in Nashville who is QB for the Titans. I could understand how it would be difficult to keep your focus on football. lol

I agree with your sentiment here. However, the offense now is Tim Kellys. It’s not really all that close to what we ran when Art was here.
