There’s not enough upvotes for this.
500k to sell boba is absolutely fucking insane. And bubble tea is cheap af. It’s mostly water which is basically free. And your labor is all minimum wage.
You need to talk to the franchiser immediately. There’s serious problems if they don’t have a marketing plan for you.
You’re checking all the right boxes. It’s just a matter of hiring people who see and appreciate that. A majority will not.
100% Normal.
The sale of a business can mean a ton of different things. And no one can predict an outcome. Not the sellers. Especially not the employees.
But that sure as shit wont stop the employees from speculating and ‘knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt’ how things will playout. They’ll know for a fact they’re all getting fired. Or they’ll know for a fact the business will be closing down. Or half are getting fired.
So they’ll act based on their theories. And that’s a problem because those employees might be some of the value.
I had this problem when I sold my business. The buyers were dragging ass, the employees were in the dark until the last week. Then, the buyers reached out to one of the employees directly, which was forbidden. The employee approached me the next day skeptical and prepared to leave if the business was getting sold.
My lawyer had fucked me over, I didn’t have any close now clause for their violation of the terms, because my lawyer fucked me over. Yea, I’m still salty. I was able to stall employee long enough to get to the sale; the buyer had told me they wanted to keep all the employees. I made it, gave a final note to the employees about the sale. That weekend the new owner fired all my employees, very sadly.
I’ve been muted for less.
“WD can you buy aghs next, their really tank and you’re the only pure damage on the team.”
5 minutes of raging by WD and somehow I’m muted. Lol
A day? A month? A year? A lot more details are needed but you most likely need to speak to a lawyer.
I’ve spoken with a few. None of them have ever seemed to have experience in what I was working on OR anything they could contribute even laterally. No sales advice, no management advice, nothing at all. A good concept (score) but it doesn’t look like my experience is unique judging by the responses here.

You’re not missing a puzzle piece. Everyone’s mind works differently.
50% of people don’t talk to themselves in their head. Their brain isn’t wired for it.
Some people only see images and see words in their heads. My best friends mom thinks in Armenian. She is Armenian, so that’s not crazy.
Many people don’t dream.
So it’s perfectly reasonable to assume some people have constant ideas. Because I have constant ideas about random shit all day.
FYI, in some cultures, this is their letter of resignation. That or they’ll say they’re going on vacation and do not have a planned return date.
It’s all about them avoiding confrontation and being able to hopefully leave a door open.
Assume they will not be returning. Do not hinge your business on this one person.
I’m just tired of 65 minute games.
Fix the game so that if my team is up 35-4 at 20 minutes, we can end the game. Making it impossible to push high ground for 45 mins is dumb af.
I’ve dealt with this.
He’s been given KPIs? Has employee acknowledged they move slow and will improve? If yes? Have they improved? If no, do they understand this? Or is there always an excuse.
Some people have only one gear, and it’s slow. Now whether they’re the excuse type or the working on it type, if they understand they aren’t meeting expectations, they’ve gotta go. End of story. It won’t change. Out of 100+ employees over some years, I’ve had maybe 10-15 in this category. 0 improved ever.
Similar but not exactly.
Had a prospective employee mention something about how a neighboring city/state had just upped their min wage and, after already agreeing on a set wage, she wanted an increase. She had t started worked.
Except, the area she mentioned didn’t increase their wage.
She was lying.
And now she was still unemployed.
What is your business?
As with most posts like this here, you were most likely violating their TOS. Which also means you most likely won’t be getting your money.
Yea, complete oversight not to make “high demand” roles not dynamic. Like, what is that, an extra 3 lines of code? Lol
If this is Downtown NYC? Sure!
If this is BFE Laramie Wyoming? Terrible idea.
But we don’t know enough and if you’ve provided 100% of what you have, you don’t know enough.
“Great point, random commenter of this offer!”
Next Post: We can’t actually afford to post offers like this. Thanks to the information provided by /user/ we are canceling this sale!
Luna, rushing Agh Scepter.
The amount of people who just cannot deal with this for the first 30 minutes is mindblowing.
Oh no, still drops from it’s special slot. 100%.
