This is the perfect sweet spot of near .500 teams, and teams still figuring out their identity.
They could go 9-1 or 1-9.
Afterwards, the 20 game mark is a quarter of the season. Depending how they do, it might prompt change similar to the Rudy Gay transition year.
It’ll be hard to keep on OG and Siakam based on their projected next contracts.
I like both of them, but one of them should be traded before the deadline. It’s just the nature of the salary cap now.
Lol. The Raptors biggest need is a future point guard. The next biggest would be a starting big if we trade Poeltl.
So if Cason Wallace and a big are off the table, that’s a tough ask.
One thing that always unites r/nba is a Dick comment thread.
We are the trap game for the Bucks.
The legal issues probably put some bad blood between them.
I’ve heard some people are high on Quickley. Don’t know much of his game.
Love the random assortment of players I wouldn’t immediately think of.
The nice thing about some of them is that if Siakam is involved, then there would be a number of salary matching pieces and maybe picks too.
So if you took a chance of Davion Mitchell for example, you’d also get whoever matches salary like Harrison Barnes or whatever else.
A break for the starters, and someone to bring the ball up when Scottie leads the bench. It’s a small but necessary role that sadly, the Raps don’t have a much better choice for.
The only other true PG is Schroeder, and he needs some rest.
The other player better at handling the ball is Siakam, but again, he’s getting rest.
And before you say just give it to Scottie. 1. Teams blitz him and force him to waste unnecessary energy. 2. There are better options for Scottie to set up the offense when given the ball past half.
How can Cade even be on this? He barely played.
We literally couldn’t.
He could’ve had even more if the other players figured out how to pass back to him on his relocations.
He gets really wide open, but the team isn’t used to his type of off ball movement yet.
Was just thinking, it’s nice having a player as fast as Maxey.
8 minutes is almost an entire quarter.
I was thinking exactly this during the Wizards game.
You can argue that Fred is better or not. But even still I’m taking Dennis and his contract over Fred and his contract 10 out of 10 times.
He was such a forgettable bust that you didn’t mention his name, Jonny Flynn.
When people ask what’s the difference between him and Porzingis. Well, there it is.
Their statistical histories favor Fred.
However, in this one particular season, they are fairly even. Although, I’ve noticed Fred has taken the lead with his assists.
I think Fred also has different intangibles and better post-defence.
Dennis however, has helped gain the Raptors a back up PG in Flynn.
