Part of helping players grow is putting them into positions where they can thrive & succeed. In my opinion, this is easier when you have some bonafide NBA vets that can shoot & play defense blended in with our crop of 7-8 20-22 year olds.

To start the year we looked a totally different team simply by having Alec Burks play at a high level. Since his injury he’s been horrible. Some player development is down to the players themselves but the organization hasn’t done our young guys any favors either in how they’ve constructed this roster.

Troy deserves skepticism because he’s put this roster together, BUT I can’t exactly imagine he envisioned this many injuries early on especially to the vets that were supposed to blend in with the younger guys.

Monty hasn’t done himself any favors lately either with the weird rotations, lack of timeouts in situations that call for them & obviously not playing Ivey as much as he should.

It’s a perfect shit storm of all three of the options I think. They are all equally dog shit at the moment.
