I’m kinda new to this game since someone brought me into this game and I’ve always play support just because I like the support role, but I’m looking like what’s a good and easy to learn champion for a support?

I’ve always picked Yuumi lately but I got flamed by my ADC and I’m looking for an alternative so that I don’t get flamed so much lmao. Tried Morgana since people says it’s a strong support but, I died a lot in this game. Sooo, any suggestions for me to try? Thank youu

Janna is an amazing champ for support beginners. It is very simple to play and has a high skill ceiling when mastered

Soraka is easy support, and you’ll always be useful. Rakan is a fun engage supp with lots of mobility, so any mispositioning errors is more forgivable

I can recommend enchanters like Janna. But in general it all depends on your playstile and ur own taste. Just play a lot of aram so you can try out many champions. At least this helped me in the beginning.

    Easy supports

    Leona

    Braum

    Janna

    Morgana

    Nautilus

    Rakan

    Sona

    Soraka

    Taric

    ____________________

Supports that focus on keeping teammates alive/play from a distance/create distance from opponents

    Sona, Soraka, Janna

    ____________________

Supports that engage and are melee range and become a meat shield/sacrifice.

Braum, Leona, Taric, Nautilus, Rakan (Rakan is the only one with the ability to escape, since he is not a tank)

    ____________________

Midlane Mages that have become supports because they are no longer good champions in the midlane. These mages exist to POKE and stun/root. Your objective is to slowly take the enemy’s hp away.

Morgana (longest stun from a distance)

Annie (have stun accumulated and Flash + Ultimate = maximum stun + damage

Zyra (use flowers to poke and be annoying, you create a distance and zone the enemy from your adc)

[[[[[[[ Brand (annoying little fcker tha become a second mage in the late game)

Vel’koz (use Q and geometry to poke your opponents from a distance) ]]]]]]

If you ever feel bored, and want to be an aggresive support, you can pick those midlane mages if you want. Personally speaking as a support main since 2013, Vel’koz and Brand are the least helpful FOR BEGINNERS. Obviously they are amazing if you are a one trick pony and only play those champions and nothing else, but its better if you ignore those two entirely and just play them if you ever want to have fun.

I haven’t read all replies, but I assume people will give specific champions for you to try out, so I want to try and give you a process to follow, so you can find a champ you like.

First, sort by “this champion is being played as a support”. There may come a time to try off-meta stuff, but starting out is not the time. Since you mentioned Yuumi, I would advise to sort by “enchanter”.

Second, you should try to pick something with simple abilities, not someone with 100 words document for a passive. When reading abilities, if at any point you have to re-read it to know what it does, just move on.

Third, pick what grabs your interest. It is a game where we try to have fun, and playing something you like makes having fun easier.

Things I would suggest - Sonna, Soraka and Yuumi. A bit more complex are Milio, Nami and Janna.

Yuumi is the worst newbie champion. She does so little that you can get away with doing barely anything, so odds are you will and you won’t learn.

You should play literally anyone else. Other roles are slightly better for learning than support, but it doesn’t matter tons. Play whoever you enjoy. Don’t bother thinking about strength. Strong champs get nerfed every few patches. Play someone you can consistently enjoy and therefore play enough to get good at.

Just stick with Yuumi, don’t listen to the haters. You can go Korean Hail of Blades Janna before Riot curls up in the corner wondering why they keep having one night stands with their ex and repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
