QB A: 14/23, 126 yards = W | QB B: 27/40, 4 TD/ 1 INT, 323 yards = L

See a lot of people (mostly on Twitter) complaining about Pickett’s stats. I would love for the offense to be elite and I have my own doubts about him at QB sometimes, but at the end of the day we’re 6-3 and doing enough to win.

That is true. Except they will get trounced if they make the playoffs … Remember when they were just good enough to make the playoffs and were killed by the brown leprechaun’s🤦🏽 There offense is not only on Pickett. He is the main focal point but as we are seeing the running game is starting to show up. This ,hopefully will help him in the near future. But remember ppl are still dropping balls…. They are definitely not there yet. But at least we are completing in most games. All I hope for is improvement by the end of the year to at least win one in the playoffs

Quality of wins does matter… how you win does matter… the object is to win the big game that’s the only win that truly matters… y’all love these participation trophies… who tf cares if we go to the playoffs if we get washed 1st round… who cares if we win if the players aren’t getting better… y’all do enough ass ppl… so happy with mediocrity… Why are y’all comfortable straddling the fence…

Y’all should want more out of your football team… and life

I’m going to guess that QB stats for a team that has rushed for over 200 yards in a game are not going to be particularly high…

I’m old enough to remember Roethlisberger’s second season and none of the wins were pretty. They had to run the table to make the playoffs. The rest we all know. That being said, the Stillers did not get their 5th Lombardi by being “Pretty”. They just punched everyone in their mouth and took it.

The NFL has changed. It is now heavily favored towards franchise QBs. Pass interference and roughing the passer, etc. why do the teams in conference championships have franchise QBs that can sling it. What division is not being led right now by the team with the best qb? The Steelers think like you they are still playing football like it is 2004.

Having just looked it up to refresh my memory, only 2 of the Steelers regular season wins that season were 1 score games. Every other one we were up by multiple scores. This team is nothing like that team. Sure they were the #6 seed but they were also 11-5. They were a legit team regardless of their seeding.

Ben was also younger and more raw (started 2 fewer years in the NCAA).

And Ben threw an average of more than 1 TD a game.

But it’s never fair to compare a new player to a future hall of famer IMO.

Yes it is true that we are doing enough to win but does that imply we can’t have conversations on valid criticisms of Pickett?

As long as you include the flaws with the scheme, OL and pass catchers with the same critical eye? Sure.

Fairly certain those parties are seeing the same critical eye lol

There were “Fire Canada” chants at fucking Pens games

Had his best two throws dropped and called back for OPI, but we are heavy run-first team and I believe for better or for worse that Pickett is coached to not turn the ball over (I don’t know this). I would be happy with Kenny if he gets around 200-250 a game in this offense with little to no ints. Since we will run the ball a lot and that limits Picketts opportunities to throw and get huge amounts of passing yards.

If we can continue to run the ball for 150-200 yards a game with 200-250 yards passing a game with this defense I’m happy.

Even if this is true (and I think it might be), the trick is to have more than two good throws a game.

Wins are not a QB stat.

And hypothetically, if we have QB B (Justin Herbert), we blow out teams like Green Bay and would be a real contender for the Super Bowl.

Give the Chargers Kenny Pickett and they’d have 1-2 wins right now.

Wins aren’t a QB stat. QB B is better, but I’ll take the team of QB A.

Let’s all remember that 31 other teams’ method to winning a Super Bowl doesn’t work either. Right now, this is our method. Will it work? Idk, but I’m here for it!
