I have no accessories except the case it came with and I like it just fine. Just wish Valve would sell the deck in more than one color. Maybe even consider doing something like Xbox design lab

Yeah, playing in the Steam Deck just instantly always makes me excited to get back into whatever game I feel like playing. Can’t really say that about most modern consoles. Just need to build a fun library games on Steam
I am so happy with Steam OS 3.5 the ui looks nicer I hope valve will allow more profile customization at some point currently I have my Deck display as two in warm and two in boosted colors. Which I think looks ok. If anyone has a better setting I would love to hear it.
I just Valve gives more of a heads up on when a Steam Deck 2 or Steam Deck 2 refresh happens.
Ah I can finally play this game on my Deck
Halo, Spyro, Resident Evil and well if Steam Deck gets full support for all games on Steam one day I’ll just plop my entire library on the Deck (maybe by Steam Deck 2 or 3 that will happen)
This why I completely ignored the Ally and stayed loyal to Steam Deck. Don’t want to deal with all that mess that you have to do to set it up. I’m a least happy there’s competition for the Deck so Valve will always have some competition to keep them on their toes.
I take that Valve just doesn’t fully understand the console market yet. In the console world companies such as Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo announce they are working on a mid gen refresh or next gen system long before it happens so people don’t make the mistake of thinking no new hardware is coming out soon. (Like I did back in June of this year) one thing people don’t not understand about the Steam Deck is that it’s not meant to those of us that own a Steam Deck already. It’s meant to be refreshed version to appeal more new Steam deck owners. Nintendo has been doing similar stuff like this with their handhelds for a while where they make a refresh version of their handhelds sometimes big sometimes small. The Switch oled is like the Steam Deck oled in which they are just a refresh of the current console with minor updates. Still keeping the same power. I just hope Valve learns from this experience and announces whatever future refreshes or next gen decks months before they happen. Valve doesn’t need to keep pulling the whole “surprise out of nowhere Steam deck is here” for future systems after the very version of the deck.
I’d say as long as your current deck works fine you don’t need the mid gen upgrade. But if you you feel you’ll benefit from the better battery maybe consider
