  • I feel he needs to win 4 of 6 to have a chance at keeping his job. He doesn’t deserve to keep his job. He has filtered out excuses for mediocre play, week after week, for 2 years now and despite spending a pile of cash to give him the QB and other players he wanted the team is not producing wins. It is clear he is not a coach that knows how to win consistently (the record vs the weakest schedule in the NFL says it all), is willing to make the tough management calls (like Carmichael), or inspires confidence in the players (listen to what Kamara is trying to say).

When you are in a game and things are going sideways, the players look to the coach for what to do. DA doesn’t seem to have any answers for them. “Keep doing what your doing.”

  • You are not alone. The team needs a reset not a retool and the only way to kick start management into this process is to have a ruinous season. The coaching staff is not very good, the team is not very motivated, and we need a high draft pick to get a franchise player in the draft. The worst thing we could do is win the Division or have a winning season. It would set us up for more of the same for the next 3-5 years.

I don’t want to see the Saints lose but it could be a good opportunity to play some of our younger players and give them game reps. See what they got.

  • I don’t think either team has had much else going for them except this rivalry during long periods of time.

And just to top it off at the odd time the Saints were in the league elite, the Falcons were also good and visited the Super Bowl so the competition was still strong.

ATM I am a bit jealous as they seem to have a lot more good young players than us and don’t have Carr’s contract acting like an anchor.
