I think it should reflect projectiles. It’d just be a small burst of reflecting instead of what Genji does, but I think that small bit of usefulness would be more than enough.

Option 1 - Tighten either his whole spread, or at least part of his spread like Roadhog got.
Option 2, which could be mixed with #1 - Introduce a resource-meter wraith, allowing him to stay in the fight longer by dodging more damage and cooldowns.
Maybe include his old wraith in his empty ability slot, having it sacrifice the new wraith’s entire supply in order to have the reload and speed boost his new wraith probably won’t give.
I love the rework, but I think his breather should recharge a bit faster. Either 10 or 8 seconds instead of full 12.
I was thinking that a Cass rework should lean more into making him a hitscan brawler:
1- Give him more health and a self-heal of some sort, possibly like reworked Hog or OW1 Bastion. Maybe increase his hitbox and model size to compensate for more survivability.
2- Make his fan-the-hammer move a cooldown that fires 3 regular shots in short succession. I’m talking full damage and headshots, although it should probably still have a bit of spread to require close-range use.
3- Either do something with his ult to fit this, or simply make it his best option for shutting down a ranged sightline; in other words, have the ultimate be good at something his neutral kit is bad at.
True, but I’m not a fan of the idea to make him just a mid-range hitscan and nothing more. Not when every other mid-range hitscan either outclasses him like Ashe and Sojourn, or does what he does and more like 76, Allari, and even Bastion* to a degree.
TBH, I think leaning more into that close-range brawler shtick they were going for with stuff like the extra HP, damage resistance on the roll, and even his magnetic grenade on release would be the best option.
I can imagine it now; a hitbox increase, 250 HP, some sort of self-healing, and his fan-the-hammer being converted into a full damage 3-Shot burst with a cooldown and the ability to hit headshots.
!*I still think he has his design issues, but Bastion is technically “good” right now. !<
Personally, I think the two sides of him should be Off-Tank recon and Glass-Cannon Assault, but aside from that I agree with you 100%.
Having switched to Open queue recently, I main Hog and 76 because of their self-sustain/self-healing combined with their mid range capabilities.
I would be maining Bastion as well like I did in OW1, but they removed his self-repair so I can’t play him like a Hog-76 anymore.
