Yup Nuguri quickly comes to mind. FPX were probably paying him a shit ton, but he got burned out so quickly playing in lpl. Still saddened by what could’ve been damwon contesting T1’s legacy to nuguri and showmaker become a husk of their previous selves.

Honestly, why don’t top sions build radiant virtue? I get that Heartsteel gives you a lot of dopamine, but I feel like you get so much free health anyways and you’ll help your team so much more with the insane amounts of healing.

And there were 3 lck in semis last year, what’s your point? Comparing regional strength between lck and lpl at this point is moot they are both very strong, it all depends on draw. Dk got eliminated via civil war and kt got eliminated by arguably the strongest lpl team(which got 3-1 by T1). Only team that you can argue choked was geng.

I don’t get how they didn’t just take 5 plates as ashe heimer vs aphelios bard. Is bard supposed to be able to match heimer in lane?

I agree, but I think the point is that it’s ok to say JDG were overrated a bit. If they truly were the best team in the world, or ever, I feel like they should have either A. Been able to adapt to the meta or B. Say fuck the meta, and play their usual front to back composition and win anyways because they are individually that much better(personally would’ve preferred the latter tbh because 369 looked so shaky on Rumble and Aatrox).

I also generally don’t remember Faker really being spectacular on the pick on the rare occasions he’s busted it out in recent years.

How well a team can adapt to the meta is also a testament to their strength, and lack thereof is also proof of weakness. Obviously JDG aren’t a bad team by any means(at least top 4 at worlds if not higher) but I do feel like their strength has been overplayed throughout the entire year, when they literally have one playstyle: 369 on tanks, ruler on hypercarry and knight contributing via winning lane or making plays.

Syndra, xerath, kassadin, yone, leblanc to name a couple that could be picked in pro.

While I would trust it I wouldn’t really be happy either. I feel like T1 are better playing “scaling engage” rather than smorc end the game by 20 minutes engage. Akali just looks giga-useless late game compared to orianna and T1 would be on a self-imposed timer(kalista too, altho ik this is an unpopular opinion)
