As long as 0-6 support mage can efficiently clear waves mid- to lategame, Hullbreaker needs to exist (in some form). Assuming OFC splipushing is to remain a viable strategy, which is the state of affairs at least for the time being.

The item is clearly too strong, though, so it is getting significant changes on PBE to be less obnoxious.

  • Why is it that a lot of the community and Rioters can agree that frustrating champions should be nerfed/kept weak for the rest of the game’s lifespan (Zed), but Riot’s balance team cannot agree with the community on which champions are frustrating to play against?

Members of the community expressed their opinion very loudly by consistently removing Zed from their games for years.

  • If a champion is popular, yet somewhat difficult to play, they will often be broken beyond belief, yet have a low winrate due to people who are new to them dragging it down.

High banrate typically also drags winrate down, because a champion with high banrate will more often play against counterpicks (people playing counters won’t ban it). So a champion like Zed who permanently dominates ban charts might be below 50% and still be completely broken (not saying he is now, but there were such seasons in the past).

Yone would currently be a good example of a champion who is extremely overtuned, but due to very high banrate and high popularity combined with high difficulty his winrate looks kinda dog.

On the other hand, champions like Rammus who are typically picked only to counter specific team comps might be perfectly balanced and yet have high winrates

  • > why is the guy with a bad matchup easier to gank

Because he is in a bad matchup, he will weaker (less health, less mana, less stats), therefore easier to gank

    > matchup laner would be more likely to be shuved in and in a safe position

Not really. In a bad matchup the winning guy will hold the lane in position favorable to them, which is to have the losing guy walk up for minions, so that you can punish them and push for plates when they recall or die.

There are exceptions when you push for plates while enemy is alive, but they are hardly relevant as a decent toplaner will only do that if they actively try to bait a gank, or they see enemy jg on the other side of the map.

    > Net bad because if you are already losing lane, it will be even easier to dive than if the lane is more even because of jungle help

As above: jungle presence usually makes losing lanes worse, not more even. So this is not a real concern.

Anyway, if in a bad matchup, I would rather have junglers try to dive me and possibly screw up and die to tower, than to come from river/tri every time I’m trying to crash the wave, and benefit heavily even from a failed gank, as it is now.

  • Top is by far the most matchup reliant role, so the lack of jungle presence can make bad matchups feel even worse with no chance of ever punishing enemy laner.

No. Jungle presence makes things way worse on average, because the guy in a bad matchup is easier to gank. Junglers helping counterpicked toplaners rarely happens, unless you play with a premade boyfriend.

While the number of river ganks might drop, the amount of tower dives wont really change? Again, making a bad situation in top even worse.

Towerdives aren’t that much of a problem now that minions don’t aggro on you if they are already fighting a tower. And with less jungle presence on top, situations when you can get tower dived easily will be even more rare.

With the removal of rift before 14mins, you can no longer get a juicy sum of cash from your jungler dropping rift top.

This is assuming you won the jungle roll. If you lose jungle roll, your enemy can get “a juicy sum”. Grubs are better because you can prevent the guy with a premade boyfriend in the jungle from touching your turret.

  • Early in the game it’s rare, lane swaps were extremely toxic for whoever got the short end of the stick (like melee forced into 1v2 against two ranged) so Riot did a lot of changes to essentially remove them from the game.

Sometimes solo lanes swap, but only in extreme cases.

After towers get destroyed or plates fall off things change, obviously. Botlane typically goes mid, top will aim to be on opposite side of the next neutral, etc.

If actually you didn’t do anything toxic, try submitting a support ticket to Rito, there are chances that they will review the game and unban you

I regularly get very negative scores as I hard greed for all plates and tier 2s, and never had any issues. Feeding is not banable at all, unless it is intentional. But if your team reports you and you have a lot of deaths the system sometimes triggers, supposedly

Dying 17 times in 30 minutes is kinda sus though NGL

  • He is so versatile that he will inevitably end up being balanced for support, at which point he might indeed become proplay staple.

With utility he brings, I can’t see him being balanced for midlane without being overpowered as a support, but we will see, maybe he will have insane AP ratios.

I don’t think skill ceiling will be that huge. You have 10 abilities, yes, but all of them are rather straightforward.
