Turn on the SF/Eagles game and you’ll kinda see why IMO. Anything can happen of course, in any one game, but just comparing them directly the Lions are not up there despite the same record.

I assure you he knows the thumbnails are silly and that people who don’t understand why are going to knock on them. You get wayyy more hits on YT with stuff looking like that.
I agree, many a play he just has decided he’s throwing to Saint or Laporta and doesn’t even seem to look at anyone else. He particularly does this in situations like yesterday when he’s rattled or it’s 3rd and… thankfully saint and laporta are both so good on those and it’s mostly worked out.
I missed that!
They do seem to have an overly complex playbook just from comments here and there from players. Laporta’s mentioned it. DPJ was barely in there and it’s already been two plus weeks. Other things too, I think Jamo’s learning issues have been heavily related to this. You see teams trade for players and they hop right in on other teams.
Something to recognize as well is that the Packers weren’t attempting to push the ball in the second half, they just were draining the clock out. Is this the right move? I don’t personally think so - and you can see the Lions got within 7 due to it. but it doesn’t mean the Defense magically was playing better - they werent.
He does get more grief than he deserves he was very much an avg QB, had a bad year, and had a really solid year too.
…
and he’s being very butt hurt LOL
i saw tommie boyd in a barry sanders highlight and i was like, oh Tommie Boyd - looked him up, played 2 seasons ever caught like 12 passes. LOL. felt old, and so funny how my childhood memory is so strong.
For every good play he had he had 3 plays where he ran sideways OOB 4 yards from a defender. He wasn’t working here for whatever reason - it happens.
The goodwill towards players certainly gets around and makes free agents want to come to this team!
Honestly was not a bad way to start the career - you can only go up from there haha.
he is rock solid at shorter kicks under 50, it’s a difficult decision, I think overall i’d rather have him than someone erratic but can hit a 58yarder
I think eventually we will see Gibbs running more down field routes - I am part of it is learning the offense and such and all the plays, routes etc… and a rookie coming in doing double duty would be overwhelmed.
Also one of the fastest ball carriers last week and he didn’t even get going :)
Someone posted some his college highlights recently and he did look rough. managing to do well do his just this natural physical abilities - but would be pretty brutalized on the NFL level. I think they knew going in it would be a while.
I agree. And i look forward to it. we had our cakewalk year this year and it was well deserved :D
