Title. Making this post because for a long time after they snapped our playoff drought, they were probably my favorite AFC team aside from the Bills. In a way, we have them to thank for helping kick off our identity as a fanbase that likes to give back. After Damar’s injury, the players and coaching staff were a class act from what I saw.
After the playoff game though, it seemed like a lot of the Bengals’ players felt slighted by the NFL’s decision to not resume the game and took pleasure in knocking us out. Maybe I’m just bitter over the loss, but that really rubbed me the wrong way. I’m curious to see if others feel similarly, or if I’m just letting the actions of a few loudmouths color my perception of a team and fanbase inappropriately.
They took buffalos spot as AFC #2 and until Buffalo beats them Buffalo won’t be in the AFC champ discussions
This is the correct answer.
Lot of petty fans in here who would’ve reacted the exact same as the Bengals fans if in their shoes last year.
Kind of a shitty spot to complain, because they did kick our ass in the playoffs. So anything we have to say just sounds like sour grapes.
But I will say, they seemed to direct a whole lot of vitriol at what the NFL did towards Buffalo specifically. Like the Bills had any say in it. And a week later they were selling SB allotments before they had even gotten past KC lol.
Idk. It’s not fuck Cincy like it’s fuck Miami or even fuck KC, but the way it all went down on and off the field definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Losing again would be an extra jab given that. I really wanna win this one.
Fuck the bengals
Y’all can hate us now but that’s not gonna stop me from eating beef on weck.
Fuck the Bengals, easily my most hated team in the league. They seriously act like they’re God’s gift to football just because they lost 1 Super Bowl. It doesn’t make sense to me how people clown on the Bills for losing 4 straight super bowls, but then worship the almighty Bengals just because they stumbled their way to 1 Super Bowl appearance and won a bunch of close fluky games just to lose that game to one of the worst Super Bowl winning teams in recent memory. Burrow also isn’t anywhere close to Josh as a QB, Josh is head and shoulders above him and he’ll prove as much Sunday night. Then the excuses will be made for Burrow “not being 100%” when Josh is the one who’s actually playing through a real injury.
Theyre jeckle and hide just like the Bills. You dont know whos gonna show up.
Don’t like the Bengals, never have. They’ve knocked the Bills out of the playoffs 3 times over the years. They’ve employed a large number of the dirtiest players and biggest scumbags in NFL history. And the fawning over Dalton six years after the drought ended is cringey af. Dalton didn’t “end the drought,” the Bills did. FTB.
Their fanbase is probably like every other fanbase…mostly cool, with a few knuckleheads.
