for a few people seeking self spaces, these people don’t really underestimate how bad a quiet lobby is for a multi-player game.

Again at the end of the day I don’t really care if a billion dollar company will sink their own game. But sacrificing a palatable environment of multi-player gaming (including the positives and negatives) where player interaction is a key part just to create a safe space for a minority of players is a bad idea financially.

I guess they will go on this course until high paying customers start getting banned and they lose serious money, so they have to course correct.

  • you didn’t get it. No matter how big of an HP pool a massive tank has when there’s abilities that literally disables and stops them from playing the videogame the HP/overhealth buff or whatever has no impact. I can guarantee you a team of 5 can chew through a slept tank with 2000 hp even in a matter of seconds.

Even if you watch Chazm one of the best ball player the moment he gets slept/hacked he’s almost dead and entire enemy team comes to dogpile on Ball once he’s stunned. The situation with Mauga is even worse because Mauga doesn’t even have as good mobility as Ball.

The issue is there are too many stun based abilities in the game that simply stops tanks from playing this videogame. The buffs don’t address any of these. Sigma/Zarya/D.Va are strong because they have some kind of defensive abilities to negate these stunning effects. Mauga has nothing, he will be the worst tank in the game even after the buffs.

  • that’s the main issue but honestly I wouldn’t mind Ana spending a few months in the wilderness like Hog/Ball players have had to because of nerfs. It would nice to see how the team compositions would evolve in ranked. So tired of every fking game populated by Ana every single day of the week. This game needs more comp diversity.

  • right now I am satisfied if they only nerf Ana to the ground and I mean Roadhog-Ball style nerf so that she goes out of ranked atleast for two seasons. The devs can gather stats and see the effects - whether they are positive or negative.

In higher ranks yes Baptiste and Ilari are problematic and their solutions are simpler - reduce their bodyshot damage by half. But Ana is a problem across every rank over bronze. Ana must be dealt with first.

  • To be fair Moira flanking and cleaning up kills is good, problem is if the other support is Zen (can’t heal even if he wants to), Lucio (do i need to explain), Mercy (busy sucking off some DPS in a back alley) you definitely won’t have fun.

A good Moira will time the flank well whereas a bad one won’t. Thing is there are a lot more bad ones but the few good ones I’ve played with seem to know when to stay with team and when to pursue kills.

    1. A widow headshot on tank can cause huge damage and Hanzo can absolutely wipe out tanks even if its not on one shot. And why would you want to even concede damage ideally when it gives ult charge to the enemy.
    2. DPS like reaper, mei, etc can all escape ultimates as can almost all of the supports. So what.
    3. In high rank plays, overclock and captive sun have far more kill potential than any tank ultimate. Infact a lot of the times you will Sigma will ult to get one kill and more importantly use it to get to high ground. Dva’s ult is mostly used for re-meching, Doom’s ult is to run back to his team.
    4. lol

  • normal heal spams mean nothing though, its when someone is making a play/pushing in and conceding burst damage that’s where healing is needed and that’s exactly the times the supports are nowhere to be seen.

Also if Lucio keeps his healing beat on, he will likely have some of the highest healing - none of these are impactful in match circumstance.

Supports can pump a lot of heals across the match and that would have no impact if they don’t learn WHEN to heal. Also Kiriko players constantly wasting their cleanse when there’s clearly an Ana throwing grenades every 10 seconds doesn’t help matter.

Nowadays im trying more to rely on Sigma and Hog and have moved away from Ramattra so I don’t really need healing. So I don’t mind and infact encourage DPS supports because while they are clueless about when to actually heal the DPS supports atleast can do the point and shoot basics and inflict damage on the enemy. I used to hate having Zens but now I encourage it.

  • he is better, but his old weaknesses mostly remain. I think only Orisa is no longer a hard counter.

Poking him from long range to get ult charge, zen/ana destroying him are still the same.

My only problem apart from Ana is that he still is a bit of an ult battery which is why I play him so passively and still there are times when i just peek out of cover and instantly lose 300 hp. People are obsessed with shooting and tunnel visioning the Hog.

To get maximum value of Hog you need good DPS players to take advantage of the enemy’s obsessive focus on Hog. A good Mei with Hog have very strong synergy. Not only can wall secure the hooked kill, it also stops incoming heals, incoming damage. Mei can also prevent rush comps from overwhelming the Hog.
